Smile Mobility advice needed for getting around DLR

    Hello,
My adult daughter will be staying at the WorldMark near DLR (the closest one.) Her family are DLR fans and have been many times and typically use the ART bus. Her son has special needs and they are aware and appreciative of the pass they will have for him.

New this year.....She is mending from a broken ankle and is using a walker, but realizes that this will be too tiresome for her spending a few days in the parks. Scooters have been recommended by friends, so here are the main questions.

-if she rents a scooter from Disney, is there anywhere to store her walker while she uses the scooter during the day? I met someone who had a folding cane in their cart, any recommendations on those?

-do you have any recommendations on scooter rental companies? I only know of someone who was staying "across the street" and used the scooter to get to DLR. Are there any accommodations on ART for
    scooters?

-has anyone stayed at the WorldMark using a scooter?

-She owns a wheelchair but for a full day in the parks it's too hard on her husband or son's backs to push her.

Any advice will be most appreciated! Well, other than to postpone the trip
    Thank you!!

I have seen many positive reviews and recommendations for Deckert's for ECV rentals. And have seen many guests riding with a folded up walker on their ECV. Hope your daughter and her family have a great trip!

Thank you tea4two I appreciate your very helpful information. She had to miss their last trip due to her injury and she is determined to go this time and have a magical time.

there are two rental locations on Harbor. One-stop mobility (1520 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802) and Select Mobility (1544 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802) One-Stop is closest to the cross street on Harbor between the hotels and the resort. You may want to call them and ask if there is a place to park while renting; or if you can do a drop off and then come by from Toy Story lot.

Deckert's comes highly recommended around here and we have used them several times. They should deliver to World Mark, I am assuming you are speaking of the tower by Garden Walk and not Dolphins Cove. There is an ART stop right in front of the lobby on the side street. We walked it last time, It's about a mile, we went towards Disney Way and went that way.

Thank you Olec I didn't realize the rental locations were so close. I'll pass on your information.

Candles71, Yes, it is the World Mark by Garden Walk. Your information about the ART stop and the walk is very helpful. Thank you!

I would also check Yelp scores to help you decide! One-Stop Mobility is at the Camelot (3 properties north next to McDonald's), where we always stay, but I never rented from them. I think Select Mobility is at the Best Western Park Place Inn, which is actually the one right at the pedestrian crossing.

DL trips: too many to remember actual dates, but they began in the 60s!

Thank you Pammer! Your information is very helpful! She checked with DLR and there is no where to store her walker. Looks like she will be going with one of the 2 mentioned as she likely won't be able to get to the parks with a scooter from her hotel.

Too bad there aren't rentals on the electric chairs I have seen zipping around. Those are amazing!
