I'd like a walking path between Port Orleans & EPCOT

I like walking, and I don't like depending on Disney World busses.

Port Orleans French Quarter & Port Orleans Riverside are both very close to EPCOT
and so I'd like a safe, well-lit walking path between them.
I'd settle for a skyway, Peoplemover, train, or submarine too.

Also, Disney, while you're obeying me,
I'd like a train between the Animal Kingdom Lodge & the Animal Kingdom park.
The train could be themed to the Jungle Book, Black Panther, or whatever.
And I'd like a (admittedly long) walking path too -- you could call it a portage.

You'll need stairs and either ramps or elevators to get over roads.

[Administrator, it it possible to share photos on Mousplanet's forums? I've tried JPG & JPEG versions and have failed thus far.]

Yes, yes, and a big YES. As time has gone by some of our favorite times at WDW has been the path between Epcot/Crescent Lake resorts and Hollywood Studios. It is awesome to stay at those hotels and not have to worrying about the bus system or parking or anything. Just walk out the Boardwalk door and head down to Hollywood Studios or Epcot. Easy Peasy. The new Skyliners seem to be more hassle than it is worth. This should be a real no brainer and cheap option for Disney to help people get around the resorts and theme parks. There are so many possibilities. Great idea. I hope they listen!!!

Yea, the Animal Kingdom area really needs some transportation help. I love the idea of a train or even one of those magnetic bullet trains in a more compact format. There must be some new technology they can leverage to move people from point A to point B quickly and safely?
That article was spot on about the Crescent Lake area and Boardwalk in particular. I think most of the issues are Covid related but now is the time to go big and revitalize the area. But my big love is walking paths wherever possible. It has been a huge miss at the Port Orleans and Riverside properties. And in my experience the Skyliner has a been a huge miss at the Caribbean Beach Resort location too. Maybe a walking path from there and Old Key West to Epcot too?

Do Imagineers & Disney executives read Mousepad? Let's hope so.
"Dear WDWchuck & Jcruise86, we are following your suggestions & hope to have all the the walking paths you suggested & the train between the AK & AKL finished before the summer of 2022. We'll use crews 'round the clock in three 8-hour shifts. Please accept a churro for your input, and expect us to return to you for further instructions."

Do Imagineers and Disney execs read Mousepad? Do they talk with their employees about how to better serve their customers? Do they think of anything besides the bottom line and how to use all their massive customer data to extract even more money from their customers?
Great questions and I imagine by close of business tomorrow we will have one of the top executives from the Disney Company responding to our questions and asking us to fly to Orlando and meet with them to flesh out our ideas. By the end of the year we will have at least 4 new walking paths from resorts to various parks and a new train system from Jambo/Kidani to the Animal Kingdom theme park. Because when Disney gets ahold of a great idea they move heaven and earth to make it happen.
    On another note, OPEN BOMA!

Ok, never mind. I was completely wrong. I forgot they don't sell advertising space on the walking paths.

Chuck, I just want to repeat what a great time it was having Disney fly us in to WDW for first-class wining & dining as they picked our brains!

Thank you also for talking Bob into creating a new, improved Peoplemover at Disneyland. I was happily surprised he accepted your challenge of hiring 3 eight-hour, round-the-clock crews to get this up and running before July 17, 2022!

And I concur that Boma (& the whole AKL) should be re-opened ASAP.

Hey Jcruise! I didn't want to make people jealous. It was an awesome time and I have never, ever been listened to or treated with as much respect as Bob and his whole executive team showed us. I did think it was magnanimous of me to throw the Disneyland folks that new Peoplemover bone. Who doesn't love the Peoplemover. It sure didn't hurt to ask and Bob was all over making it happen and soon.
And he is going to get BOMA opened ASAP too! He is a great guy. Thank you very much for getting this ball rolling. You are a great Disney human.

^ ^ That literally made me laugh out loud. I'm responding 11 days after you posted it. I like to imagine that one gullible person believed it.

Back to unreality: I guess you were right when you ignored my advice against legally changing your name to "WDWChuck"! Apparently that's opened a lot of doors. I'm still jealous that YOUR family got to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite, while my extended family just got stuck in those AKL suites -- still nice of them to reopen the hotel just for us and bring out those animals. I could've done without the "entertainment" of letting those lions catch & eat those zebras, but I guess they did have too many zebras and it helped keep the lions in shape. And my weird twin nephews LOVED it -- almost as much as I liked having Jiko almost all to ourselves. You really know your South African wines! Bob, Pete Docter & the Avengers cast members were all impressed!

We are still reeling from that experience. What a magical time and we are still pinching ourselves. Cinderella Castle? Really? Those sheets and pillows are out of this world.
But we will see if they have the follow through. Did you get a call yesterday? They want us to come back in October to help them critique the 50th celebration. I told them I could do a few days but only only if we get the VIP escort to avoid the crowds.
Just think, if you had never posted your awesome ideas on this forum this would have never, ever happened. I cannot thank you enough. Keep on creating the magic for all of us!!
