Jim, there is a very prominent and knowledgeable member of another site who insists there is no problem with the concrete base, but he won't come out and say what the problem really is. How sure are you that the problem is indeed the base? Thanks.

The concrete base is the official story of the Walt Disney Company at this time although I know that there are others who have indicated it is something else. I always choose to go with the official story rather than any rumors unless I have some good information to refute the official story. I did that with my story on the Snow White Grotto where Disney claimed the statues showed up unannounced and no one knew the sculptor. Turns out Walt knew the sculptor and ordered them from him. The Disney Archives has an invoice. However, always willing to learn more.
I can't help but think that instead of creating a functional Yeti, the Imagineers got too caught up in wanting to say it was the biggest, baddest AA ever made.
"I'm not interested in what you did yesterday, because I'm not going to be there. I know I can do that. It's the next thing that I'm interested in" (Walt Disney)
"Sometimes it's not to your benefit to mess with things that are above your reach. You don't want to show yourself to be too stupid." (Bob Dylan)
