    Holiday D-Lights Tour/Christmas at WDW

We had the pleasure of taking part in the Holiday D-Lights Tour that Adventures by Disney puts on. The team did a great job and it was fascinating listening to Wes and David (Bo) talk about all the hard work that goes into preparing Walt Disney World for the Holidays. Janessa did a fantastic job creating this Christmas tour and Jana and Liza did an incredible job keeping us all on track and making it a magical experience. First off was a great barbecue dinner at the Wilderness Lodge Whispering Canyon Cafe. We had the restaurant to ourselves and it was delicious.
After that we took a tour of the back shop that is responsible for the lights on Cinderella's Castle and Wes gave us a very interesting talk on how it all goes together. Then they took us out to watch the show in a special cordoned off area. First class! Wes is a huge asset to WDW. Very, very interesting hearing him share some of his story with us.
We took a bus, thank you Robert, to Epcot and met up with Bo who gave us the background on the Candlelight Processional and a little bit of a tease on the holiday fireworks show. We got to go back stage which is always fascinating to me and then they walked us out to our seats at the event. It was beautiful. Robbie Benson narrated the story of the birth of Christ and the choir and orchestra were world class. Just beautiful. Joyful. The songs were a perfect choice for the Christmas season.
After the Candlelight show they walked us out to a prime viewing spot by Morocco to see the fireworks. We had some fun on the way over and I will let that be a surprise for anyone that does it. Bo gave us even more background on the fireworks and then we got to see the show close up. Bo was a real treasure and it was an honor to hear him share his love of his team and what they do night in and night out to bring joy to our lives. Walt would be proud of Bo.
The tour lasted 6 hours and it was the best thing we have ever done at WDW. Worth every penny. Janessa's Christmas tree story was priceless too.
Thanks again Adventures By Disney and thanks to the managers who gave Janessa the support to develop this tour. I know it is going to keep getting better and better.
    Merry Christmas!!!
