The silicone straws do work real well, but sometimes they retain flavors for some reason. We use them all the time at the parks.

The other day I was at Mod Pizza (similar to Blaze Pizza) and they had compostable straws. They were still plastic-looking but made from a material that lasted longer than a meal yet breaks down a lot faster afterward.

We were looking into the compostable straws. Good to know that Mod Pizza carries them. Mr. Tea likes Mod Pizza -- I'll ask him to try the straws on his next visit so we can test drive before ordering a box.

To be very honest, I noticed no difference between them an regular plastic straws. Worked nicely!
