Just read an article that Rivers of Light and Pandora are not raising the attendance at DAK to what was projected. Can this possibly be true? Please comment if you have any knowledge. In my experience I can understand...ROL was disappointing, the River Journey was underwhelming and I was unable to ride FOP due to size issues. So for me, DAK is still a half day park.

Flame Tree BBQ!!!! I love this place. BBQ is great in general, but it's one of the few CS at WDW that I enjoy eating at. Throw in those tables with a view and it's just an amazing place to eat.

Working for Disney. No, no. Working (in a Modesto office) for (the money to take a trip to) Disney (World/Land)

    WDW Trips: June 2002, Feb 2004, Dec 2006, Dec 2008, Jan 2010, Feb 2011, Dec 2012
Disneyland Trips: Feb 2006, Nov 2013, Nov 2014, Feb, March, June 2015 (x2), Nov 2015

Ive read a few things and heard a few things, but nothing I would refer to as "knowledge." Just the standard Disney rumor mill churning. It seems that nothing ever meets "what was projected" in this day and age. Which leads me to believe they over project. I can only go by conjecture but my gut feeling has always been that despite it's beauty and cool rides, Pandora, in regards to a movie franchise is yesterdays news. Sure it's the biggest film of all time, and yes there are more coming in a few years. But I've always felt - and this is just me - that Avatar doesn't have the emotional pull of a Star Wars or a Harry Potter. My 75-year-old mother knows who Harry Potter and Luke SkyWalker are but she wouldn't know anything about Avatar. Same with my own kids. They know the film, but it never inspired super fandom the way that other franchises have. So, I could believe that after the initial curiosity and hoopla over a new land opening dies down, that attendance wasn't what they thought it should be. But I don't know that for a fact.

There has been talk of things changing in Dinoland. There's the eternal Australia rumor and also Zootopia rumors back in Rafiki's Planet Watch, but those have never been confirmed.

Still, to each his own, but I, personally, can spend a whole day wandering around Animal Kingdom and be quite content.

It's just the best! I love the food, but I agree, it's the setting that makes this a wonderful spot to eat.

Tiffins and Nomad Lounge would top the Discovery Island list for me. The otters were still not back on exhibit this past weekend.
