Don't Think Twice - I kind of feel bad. I'm a fan of Mike Birbiglia, his standup, various other things I've seen him do. And I just haven't cared for either of the movies he's made. For Sleepwalk with Me I chalked it up to having seen it already in a couple different forms but I don't have that excuse with Don't Think Twice. Just nothing much there.

Suicide Squad - It's not often I honestly watch a movie thinking "this is poorly edited." The way the movie is put together just doesn't make sense. I like the Margo Robbie and Will Smith performances (though it is kind of icky that the other characters are just bad but Harley Quinn is more manufactured through sexual/romantic violence).

Cafe Society. Also not much there but pleasant performances from Stewart and Eisenberg. Exactly the kind of ending you expect from Woody Allen.

Has he re-discovered the steadicam and editing?
Please don't ask me how I feel, I feel fine.
Oh I cry a bit, I don't sleep too good, but I'm fine

We were debating seeing this. But it had the feel that all the best stuff was in the trailer. Hmmm...

    The Bronze.

A case where the previews were TONS better than the actual movie. Some of the language would have made Deadpool either blush or take notes for his next movie.
Dont even bother renting it. Learn from my fail.

Last Days in the Desert Ewan McGregor finally plays Jesus after being mistaken for Him so many times as Obi-Wan. lol. While good it was a very very different take on the 40 days in the desert story. Ewan plays both Jesus and Satan and did both parts very well with what very little he had to work with.

Being the 3rd in the series, I think it was better than the second but not as good as the first. Even then, thats me being generous as it was a "rental watch" more than anything else.

    Four movies on airplanes:

Eddie the Eagle - It was ok.
Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising - Awful and I'm glad they didn't carry the "sororititty" joke into the title.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - Middling but much better than I expected.
    The Boss - Pretty bad.

"Florence Foster Jenkins" -- Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant are wonderful. And Stephen Frears does such consistently good work. It isn't necessary to know all the music used in the movie, but the more familiar you are with each piece, the more cringeworthy the performances. Really enjoyed this movie.

Kubo and the Two Strings - animated film from Laika. It's beautiful and magical. Highly recommended.

Pete's Dragon - Disney live action/animation. Very little relation to the original Pete's Dragon film you may remember. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The animation of the dragon is amazing.

Those are both on our list. Glad to hear good reviews of both.

Victor Frankenstein. A whole new take on the story. Imaginative and very steampunky. James McAvory is Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliff is Igor. Both are brilliant in their roles. I now have a new favorite Frankenstein film

    The Angry Birds Movie.
To my surprise, it was not all that bad for a movie based on a game.

The animation was really good and the music in the soundtrack was not too shabby either.

If you have kids that liked the game, or just a fan of decent animation, this one is worth at least a rental.

    Blackhat.

Goes to show that even a star like Chris Hemsworth cant save a film that suffers from poor writing.
    Dont even bother.
