I had a few questions about the Disney Aulani Hawaii resort but not sure which forum to put it in?
Has anyone been that might be able to answer a few questions about their wifi and rooms?

Love the Aulani! I can try and answer any questions you have.
We went in June and it was amazing!!

How is the wifi? Do you think there is a good spot at the resort that I could use wifi and do a live stream video to show my friends back at home? Periscope live stream.
Also I have a friend who lives there about 30-45 m away if I invite her to visit with me will I be able to get her a temporary wrist band to go swimming with us for the day?

We didn't have wi-fi issues at all, but we weren't trying to do much, so hopefully someone else can answer that!
As far as the guest pass, they don't offer those. Are you at the occupancy limit of your room? If not, you can add the friend onto your reservation and get them a key. You could not allow charging if that's a concern. Then they could get a bracelet. Our keys were scanned every time we got a bracelet.

Oh wait, yes we did. We had issues with the wifi when doing the menehune trail. The further from the hotel, the more it glitched. We had to give up on a quest because of it not loading near the infinity pool.

What about checking in early? Our flight will land at 9 or 10am. You think they would have a room ready at 11a? After a 5 hr flight and airport stuff I might need a nap

I would plan on your room not being ready that early. However, I would set up a day bag for yourself with maybe a change of clothes and the like so you can enjoy the resort. Maybe hit the pool and grab a few zzz's out there. Just make sure you put on some sunscreen beforehand.

Day 1: I never want to leave! We've only been at the resort for a few hours now. Went to the buffet for dinner which was good. Ironically, we had McDonalds for lunch because we were starving after being on the plane. Airplane snack food just isn't enough! We've wandered around a little bit, got our refillable mugs, and now back at the hotel room hearing Hawaiin music playing outside in the lobby.
Lots of time at the various pools and the beach. We went to a lua (sp) tonight which was fun. We were a little nervous as Arg is terrified of fire, but Jeff sat with him and handled it ok. I was seated further back as I needed to be able to have a chair to sit in. Food is good, although it seems as though most of the fast food type restaurants close early in the day so some issues with finding food in the evening if you want something lighter and there isn't alot of variety at them. But hey, we're here at Aulani, guess I shouldn't complain.
Be sure to share any tips or tricks with me please! Oh can you inquire about gluten free options and take any menu pictures of it if they have any.

Oh and did you try to check in early? Any chance you can take a picture and share it of the resort map that shows the buildings names?
I wonder what building has rooms the close to everything?

Today we are at Dole plantation.best Dole Whips around. .
Check out monkey pod across the street. They have happy hour, I believe 3:30-5:30 with great food specials. It was so yummy and relatively affordable!

We were in the Waimea (sp?) tower close to the elevators. This tower was convient to the cafe, but we thought the Ewa tower was slightly better for beach and pool slide access and Auntys for the kids is in Ewa. It wasn't a huge deal, but we thought next time we will request Ewa!

Do you have a map of the towers?

There is one here. Click the map tab. The Waimae tower is the one on the guest parking side, the Ewa is the tower labeled 70-89.We were room 412 which was just after the break. We overlooked the play bridge. This was a "pool view 1BR villa." Our view was great and the lobby is on the 3rd floor, so it was a quick walk. We agreed we would not want to be on the 3rd floor though- at least not as close to the elevtaor as we were, but it was not an issue at all on the 4th floor. The pool views are levels 1-5 and the ocean views start at level 6.

Today we drove out to Pearl Harbor. There's a visitors center, a short boat ride out to the memorial and then you can walk around the memorial. There are also some videos, as well as artifacts from the ship. We didn't see everything here, but we're near our sons limit.
