If you’ve never before visited Walt’s boyhood home, Marceline, Missouri, I can’t think of a better time than this weekend.

The town, which was a primary influence on Disneyland's Main Street USA, is holding its annual Toonfest this Saturday Sept. 16, complete with presentations by cartoonists (including Disney favorites Mike and Patty Peraza), a cartoon art show, parade, craft booths, and the opportunity to visit the charming Walt Disney Hometown Museum.

Legendary park employee Bob Penfield will be appearing in the parade and in the afternoon will be signing his book "The Last Original Disneyland" at the Museum.
