Laughing Stock Company Packing Its Bags

Rating: 8 votes, 5.00 average.
Six months after Billy Hill and the Hillbillies got the boot, the Laughing Stock Company is also about to be evicted from Disneyland’s Golden Horseshoe.

Although there’s been no official confirmation, a source in Entertainment reports July 8 will be mark the final performances of the longtime comedy troupe inside the ’Shoe. Starting July 9, a new “interactive” show will take their place.

Laughing Stock performers have found jobs at other shows throughout the resort, including in the new show. But if you want to catch the antics of the Mayor, the Sheriff, and other favorites one last time, head down to the Golden Horseshoe right quick.

    Will miss the show, but hopefully what will replace it will be just as good. We always stopped by to see this show and for some reason I ended up on "stage" alot of times which just made it alot of fun.

    It's a shame. But perhaps it was time. It was around for a LONG time, and it was getting a bit stale for me. At least there might be something new.

    By the way Mr. Koeing, I know I'm late on this (I haven't been logged in for a long time, so I apologize for this) but did you ever read my response to your "Walt card" article last year?
    I hope you did, considering the fact that you referenced me in it. If you haven't read my response, please do;

    Also, near as I can tell, you never did admit that you were premature in assuming that swing dancing would never come back to the park. (Because swing dancing DID indeed return to the park in its original spot, you know)

    I didn't care for this show at all, but the loss of more live entertainment is never welcome news. If they'd combine the savings from this and the Hillbillies and offer a modified Golden Horseshoe revue, say - only 5 days per week during peak seasons, I'd be happy.
