  1. runDisney races are now BOYM - Bring your own Mylar

    runDisney has implemented a new policy at their races - mylar blankets (the ones given post-race to prevent loss of body temp) will no longer be provided to race participants with two exceptions. One - if you buy a massage, you get a blanket. Two - if you are injured during the race you may get a blanket (not guaranteed). Wow... how cheap can you get?

  4. Did runDisney stumble with the new pink Coast to Coast medal?

    If you read our Team MousePlanet forum on MousePad, you've already seen an ongoing thread about the the new 10K that was added to the 2014 Princess Half Marathon Weekend.

    In addition to the new 10K, runDisney is introducing a new achievement called the Glass Slipper Challenge for runners who participate in both the newly announced 10K and the half marathon together in the same weekend.

  5. 2014 Walt Disney World Half Marathon Seeing Reduction in Capacity

    Amanda Tinney at DisneyEveryDay.com has confirmed with Feron Kelley, Disney Sports Director of Marketing & Communications, that runDisney's solution for trying to alleviate some of the bottlenecks on the course is to reduce capacity on both the full and half marathons, with "The majority of that reduction being applied to the half marathon."

    According to Kelley, runDisney plans to reduce registration for both events by 2,000 entries.
