  1. Friday nights sold out for Mickey's Halloween Treat @ Disney's California Adventure

    All five Friday night dates for Mickey's Halloween Treat at Disney's California Adventure are now sold out. As of October 1, the remaining available dates are:
    • Thur, Oct 16
    • Wed, Oct 22
    • Thur, Oct 23
    • Tues, Oct 28
    • Wed, Oct 29
    • Thur, Oct 30
    All remaining events are $25 per person, except Oct 30 which is $29. All remaining events are 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM at Disney's California Adventure. Tickets are available at Disneyland.com.

  2. Disneyland announces last-minute Nightmare merchandise event for THIS Saturday

    The Disney Gallery Web site had previously posted a fine-print mention that "additional" Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise would be available during the Walt Disney Classics Collection "All Hail the Pumpkin King!" Sculpture Release & Signing this coming Saturday, October 4, but even avid Disneyland collectors were taken by surprise when Disney finally released details about this event yesterday.

  5. Disney's World Loses a Pioneer

    Sad news. I've just learned that John Curry, the man personally hired by Walt Disney to build his first hotels (in Mineral King and at Disney World) passed away last night of a massive brain hemorrhage.

    John's family owned the famed Curry Village in Yosemite, one inspiration for Mineral King. Joining Disney in August 1966 as administrator of hotel planning (the company's first ever hotel employee), his task was to plan, get built, hire for, open and eventually operate Disney's hotels. ...
