There are so many things I have learned from here:

Sitting in the front of the Monorail
"Driving" the Mark Twain
Fastpasses and how they work
photopass and the best/cheapest way to buy them
CANDY CANES
Vacation planners and the baskets
What foods were good and where to get them
Blue Bayou and the Monte Cristo
See, I could go on and on.

Ahhh, I like this. I have only been a MP'er for a short time and it helped so much with the planning of our Easter trip!

Vacation Planners and Baskets!(All the kids got an Easter basket delivered to the room and Hubby got a Happy Anniversary basket)

Ridemax! Would reccomend this to anyone!

Tips on getting picked for the Jedi Training! Worked and was the first time too!

Gee! What haven't I learned? :) I'll have to narrow it down to the ones that meant the most our first trip after I joined MousePlanet.
- Dole Whips
- Mr. Potatohead parts and how to stuff the box as full as possible!
- The best places to sit for parades and fireworks
- the best stroller for my TALL three-year-old
- wonderful tips for the airplane and standing in line with kids
- AND SO MUCH MORE!!!

Whenever I talk to friends about Disneyland and Walt Disney World, I always end up saying "Well, on MousePlanet, my discussion board, someone said . . ." It's nice to know there are others out that that share my passion. Way to be MousePlanet!!!! :D

Another great thread!

First and foremost...If it weren't for MousePlanet, I wouldn't know about...the friendly community who share my interest and passion for Disneyland, and their willingness to openly share their knowledge and experience with everyone on the discussion boards!

And for specifics:

Priority Seating reservations at restaurants.
Riding in the wheelhouse of the Mark Twain (see my trip report under Disneyland Whistle Blower).
Riding in the Lilly Belle (haven't done this yet).
Using Fast Pass system, especially that they are valid past their "return window".
Service Dog procedures (Thanks Malcon10t).

And the many little tips and tidbits all add to my knowledge and enjoyment of DLR.

Thanks to everyone!

The Goat Trick

I CAN'T believe I forgot to include the goat trick in my original post!!! The goat trick is what PROMPTED this thread!!! I was riding BTMRR last night and as soon as I saw the goat, I thought "I'd never have known about this if it weren't for MP...I should post about this."

Thanks for reminding me.;)

Most recently: We are planning a trip on Mother's Day weekend because our middle daughter will be playing at DL with her middle school band. On MP I found out that they're having a special Mother's Day buffet at the DL Hotel ... I didn't see this info. anywhere else!

In the past:

The Tigger Tails and other yummy marshmallow confections at Pooh's Corner
The 3 cheese monte cristo at Cafe Orleans
The Cove Bar at Ariel's Grotto - full service bar :D
Silhoutte Shop on Main Street - unique souvenir & a bargain price IMO
Fireworks viewing by Dumbo

Coded AP rates at the Disney Resort hotels. (The AP specials that are cheaper than what you get if you just ask for the AP rate...)

The goat trick is on BTMRR. When you get to the goat you are supposed to stare at it as you turn the corner and it will give you a strange feeling. I can't do it so I can't explain it very well, but when I told my sisters that they said, "Yeah, right", but it worked for them.

* YMOD- would not know how to prepare for the hats, fastpasses and other
fun prizes.

*WWS _ a great place to eat, quiet, fresh

*NOSP - where to stand 10 mins before Fantasmic starts for the best
view of the show

*GRRL- where to store all of the clothing you want to keep dry

But the best, was knowing how to line up for Aladian correctly and sitting where I wanted to sit!!!
