We discovered when you renew an AP in advance through
the mail ( we upgraded to Dlx AP's from So Cals :) ) your
previous AP is no longer valid from the day of issue of
the new AP. It appears this includes the time your new
AP is in the mail. We visited DL yesterday and entered in the
normal fashion. Then we were surprised to find out our cards would not work with Fast Pass.
The gentleman CM at the Pavilion directed us back to the gate
where after explaining our dilemma, the entry CM graciously
gave us all regular 1 day tickets to use for Fast Pass.
( Kudos to great customer service. :) )
I understand the logic as DL does not want people in
possesion of multiple APs. Gotta pay more attention to
the mouse type on the cut sheets.
It didn't deter from an otherwise good day. Just thought
to post and let others know to avoid this goof, particularly
if anybody is traveling long distance.
