Okay, so many people have complained about DCA that it inspired me to start this thread. If they tore down DCA, what would you like to see built instead?

(besides a parking lot with blue and yellow trams)

Describe lands, attractions, restaurants and shops (try to make it commercially viable.... it's more fun that way)

A parking lot with blue and yellow trams. Really. I loved that parking lot.

Okay, I guess I'll have to get the ball rolling here..

How about a Yesterland? Sure they'd have to pay for the name now <g>, but they have all the designs in the archives (and can improve on ones that don't work so efficiently). There's plenty of room for new product as there's more stuff gone than they could possibly put in one park!

Imagine going to a yester-tomorrowland equipped with America Sings (or carousel of progress), Adventure Through Innerspace, the Flying Saucers, Peoplemover, Rocket Jets (specifically ON TOP of the peoplemover!), the plastic house of the future, and Captain Eo. Or Fantasyland with a Pirate Ship! Or a mine train through nature's wonderland.

Okay, I guess this ideas a little over the top, but it was fun to think of (until I started getting all depressed about tomorrowland and stuff)

you know maybe that is a theme park they could do in WDW ebcause they have more ladn, the name would have to be catchy.

well, what would you do for a third gate, then?

They have the Fushije strawberry farm to build a 3rd park on, what would you do with it?

I've had a horrible thought:

What if they build Disney's America on the strawberry farm?

I don't really hate that concept, but after DCA they need something really fun and fantasy oriented.

At this point I'm still putting my money on some version of DisneySea, probably including a waterpark.

Disney's America might not be that bad. DCA sucks because of the lack there is to do in California. They replaced rides with movies because CA is really all history. In America, they can extend their ideas building numerous lands (possibly one after each state) with unique restaurants and rides. Can you imagine a similar roller coaster from New York New York's hotel and casino there? Soarin' Over America? Or a flume ride through the Grand Canyon? A park based on America an have numerous E-ticket attractions as well as kid orientated rides.

How about a Tower of Terror that looks like the Empire state building?

"Barrel over niagara"- raft ride that looks like huge barrels (rub a dub dub....8 guests in a tub!)

A Texas rodeo show

.... you know what.... there aren't enough interesting states :/

Or I'm just tired... usually I'm more creative than this

(Just think of the coffee sales and inevitable Starbucks partnership for Seattle!)

New idea for where Disney's Culinary Atrosity stands now...
Why not make a "E Ticket Land" area and attach it to the original Disneyland via Tomorrow? That way they could force us locals into the new "Earthquake Untested" parking structure. In the new addition they could use old ride concepts as stated earlier along with new and untested concepts.
Imagine having a land devoted to the RIDES of the future in comparison to Tomorrowland. For instance, put Soarin' in there along with the "Wolf" (sorry, it just looks more like a wolf than a bear the way it was designed) water ride. Perhaps Disney could put some water park area in this area and leave the farmland alone. Imagine that the size of Knott's water park is about the same if not less than DCA, so there is no reason why they could not use part of that area for the water park and the rest of the E ticket area.
Of course they could just expand Tomorrowland into this area with a new E ticket (Pressler's 20 stores, and 5 food stops, etc.) and put the water park in. The hardest part in trying to expand Disneyland out would be a massive HOW. How to make sure that the park does not bottleneck in that area. How to ensure that there is enough parking and CM backstage areas if they did expand. How in the world to explain to us locals who are not huge fans of changing Walt's dream into a Suits Dream Shoppe/Park.
I guess the water park would be the only viable way to put something there. They already have a raft ride and a lagoon. Why not add some slides, tell Mondavi that "we messed up" (yeah right), and can DCA and add it to Yesterland.
There really is no viable option, so everyone... plant your seeds in here and see if an idea grows.
