I'm driving to Disneyland from San Jose. I always take 101, Pacheco pass to 5 to Harbor Blvd.

My problem is once we get into the L.A county area the traffic is horriable on 5 and sometimes takes 2 hours to get to Disneyland. IS there another better way to get there??

As was stated in this thread (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?threadid=8675) traffic all depends on what time of day you will be traveling. You can look at the thread for alt. routes into the resort. If you are really worried about traffic have a couple different routes planned and tune the radio to AM 1070 for traffic every 6min. If this thread doesn't help post again and I am sure people will have other ideas.

I decided (just now) that I'm leaving San Jost at 5:00AM on Saturday Morning. I'm thinking I will get to the LA area around 10 or earlier. Do you think I'll have any issues?

10:00 on a Saturday morning? Nah. Just stick with the 101/5 plan. You may get some backup in and around the East LA interchange, though, because they always seem to do roadwork there on Saturday mornings.

All right, what's with everyone heading down the 101 this weekend? :D Maybe I should go by the highway and just stick out my thumb! I'll be holding the sign that says "Disneyland or bust " along the 101 at Santa Maria. (j/k)

Just so you guys from SoCal know the 101/Pacheco Pass/5 interchange is about 250 miles from the DLR. He isn't talking about the 101/5 interchange in SoCal. So pretty much he has no options except to take 5 all the way through LA...

Exactly, but I have no problem with that although, sometimes Pacheco Pass can be a pain (especially early morning winds) I always have a smooth ride down except when I get into LA. I just hate it. So hopefully this time It wont be so bad! ;) Thanks for the info guys!
