In case any of you were wondering....

I been planning a trip and trying to find out the schedule of Fantasmic for September. I've called Disney Guest relations a number of times as well as the Entertainment reservation line. They all said Fantasmic is done for after Labor Day. Well the site said different. Finally after the fourth call to guest relations I got word from the supervisor of entertainments, supervisor that it will be showing Fri and Sat nights through Oct and will stop a daily run starting Sept 1st.

Sorry if this is old news...wasn't sure if it was or not since NO cm that I spoke with knew about it. They wont even take reservations after the last showing in sept.

Now, based on Disney.com.....

http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneylandresort/ResortInfo/HoursAndShows/index?StartMonth=8&StartDay=25&StartYear=2002&Stay=10&DCA=DCA&DLP=DLP&DTD=DTD&DRH=DRH&submit.x=26&submit.y=11

There are NO showings of Fantasmic! from Monday August 26th thru Thursday August 29th. Then two shows a night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Aug 30 - Sept1). No shows on Labor Day (DL is closing at 8 PM!), then Fantasmic is on SATURDAYS only thru the last weekend of October.

Also, no showings of the Believe Fireworks are listed after Sunday September 1st.

There site info is so screwy right now so is there Guest Relations dept It took me over a half hour on the phone to get the straight and correct answer. Belive though is not scheduled as far as I know. Fantasmic will be fri and sat I dont know how many shows a night but it will be at least through Oct from what this guy said. I just wish they would SHARE info with the rest of the guest relations and reservation lines.

Logged onto Disneyland.com this a.m. to see if they've posted any more on their schedule page for my trip date (9/27-10/1).

And I noticed that they have removed Fantasmic as best I can tell from the schedule as of Labor Day -- period. Couldn't even find it listed for the Saturdays in September/October it was on the schedule for as of last week.

Anyone out there know anything? Please don't tell me that this confirms the rumors of draining RofA after Labor Day... :crying:

Whoever did the last programming changes at Disney.com did some major errors..

The changed the name of Eureka! to Disney's Aladdin Live

Fantasmic! is now refered to as Eureka, etc....

Let's look at a couple of days of your visit...

So let's translate, the "Disney's Eureka! A California Parade - 9:00 PM, 10:30 PM" that is listed as being a parade at the Disneyland Park, is actually the Fantasmic! show at the Rivers of America, once again, still being listed as Saturday only, with no Friday showings listed....

The Buzz lightyear times look like they placed new times in the computer, but forgot to remove the old times, creating double listings....

Also note that the park hours are not listed past Sat. September 28th...

Hopefully somebody will catch these obivous errors and fix them shortly. :p

Thank Heavens for you, Darkbeer! I went thru total panic this a.m., thinking this was it... Didn't notice the Eureka thing at all.

Further evidence of someone's plot to make DLR a playzone only for people with master's degrees! I swear -- between this error and the discussions last week on Fast Pass, I'm a little disheartened.

Anyway, thanks again. You took the panic away!

Diane :D

The other strange thing is that HM isn't on the rehab schedule. Aren't they shutting it down after Labor Day to get ready for HMH?

I emailed them (disneyland.com guest services) again today about when the schedule on the site would be updated past Sat 9/28... we'll see if I get an answer!

It is crazy, isn't it, Mark....

We can figure it out, Disney announces the special HMH event to be October 3rd, and we know that they can't changeover the HM into HMH overnight, so it has to close sometime in September (just like iasw also has to close), but the folks at Disney can't figure it out?????

One theory I have is that Disney is worried about the "soft" bookings in vacation packages in the next few months, and they are "purposely" failing to list a few rehabs, such as HMH, iasw, and the "rumored" closing of Critter Country after Labor Day....plus the draining of the River in Early 2003......
