I didn't see a thread about this back in the archives, but I didn't travel all the way through, so apologies if this is a duplicate. So I was wondering... what are the things you absolutely must experience every time you go to the park?

Every time I go, I absolutely must have a Mint Julep, ride Haunted and Pirates, hit the animation pavillion at DCA, and my new thing is to get one of those die-cast vehicles from the former Villains shop. It just feels wrong if I go and don't do those things, you know?

Hey Cooie,

First, Pirates and Haunted Mansion must be done in bulk,

The Idol of Mara must be offended at least once,

Gotta take time out for a few minutes in the Animation Pavilion,

And of course, there are the Mouse Pretzels...

Oh yeah, and avoid Nate if at all possible... :D

Make a wish in Snow White's Wishing Well.

See fireworks and TinkerBell's daring flight (if applicable).

That's it (since Skyway and Tahitian Terrace are gone)...

I try not to buy anything unless it's really cool (a rare thing these days, but CD's, DVD's and 50's art repros would be my choice).

Hmm. When you've been an unrestricted passholder for your entire adult life, you don't have many "musts." There have been times when I've shown up only to pick up a gift for a friend, and didn't bother with much of anything else.

BUT
My one annual "full-day-and-evening" visit on July 4th, the Walt's Footsteps tour is a "must," as is Lincoln. If I'm on-site on an evening when The Parade is running, I always make it to DCA, generally watching from right in front of the Sunshine Plaza parade gate. If it's followed by fireworks, I always make an immediate park-hop, and watch from the Main Street DRR Station. And if there's a late Fantasmic, and/or I have a late dinner reservation at the Bayou, I'll take the train over there right after the fireworks.

And if I see either Rod or Johnny playing at the Coke Corner, I'll usually stop by for as much as a full set. (This past July 4th, I barely had time to wave hello to Johnny, as I was on my way to a late lunch at SOB, but I at least made it back for one of Rod's sets.)

My "Musts": :)

*For dinner everytime: Mickey Mouse Pretzel with Cheese!! Yum!!!!

*If I only ride one ride, it's gotta be Haunted Mansion!

*Candy from the candy shoppe! (assorted sour balls OR Jelly Belly's! My favorites!)

*Popcorn from the popcorn cart for the ride home!

I always think (at least once while I'm at the park) how fortunate I am to be there in the first place! Yay!

(Holy Moly, I just realized how much tradition centers around snacking! Uck!)

:D

During Believe (any version) I must close my eyes, make a wish and cup my hands out in front of me to catch them during the comets and shooting stars.

Picture someone trying to catch a shooting star.

I must:

Walk to the parks (No tram for me).
Ride Indy (single rider, of course).
If in DCA, snag free tortilla and bread.

Other than that, my visits to the parks can include all sorts of different stuff.

Must see Believe.

Must eat free bread and tortilla if we go to DCA. ( I know, I'm cheap.) But if we are in Disneyland, (and believe me, most of the time we are :)) and I'm not being cheap, we get a Dole Whip.

Must buy something durring the day. I don't have anything specific in this category.
