When I was at DL for the birthday, one of the things that struck me was the sudden absence of teepees in front of the Frontierland gate. Why were they removed? Are they gone for good?

...or maybe the highly evolved ducks just moved to their summer hunting grounds?

The teepees have been removed to be replaced by the now- common-to-all-reservations structures - casinos!

(OK - not really politically correct ..............)

Perhaps they were too stereotypical. I mean, I only know of a few Native cultures that use teepees to begin with.

Maybe they needed the teepees to host the talent at the DCA music series.

IMO, the tipis were looking rather worse for wear. They also seemed too cartoony - not authentic enough. I'm glad they took them down. Maybe they'll make better, more realistic ones. Or maybe they'll just leave the area empty, which is par for the course.
