I found a really neat website. It is www.archive.org. Using www.archive.org, you can literally go back in time to see disney websites from the past. For example, go to archive.org. Type in www.disney.com. It will give you a searching menu, years 1996-2002. Unfortuanately, not every page works. 1997 works great and certain 2000 and 2001 pages work great too. Unfortunatly, 1996 and 1998 dont work well. Anyways, for instance, pick 1997. The Disney 1997 website will open. Then select Disneyland from the right menu. Now, you can see the pages for attraction no longer in the park, like fantasyland autopia, keeboats, circle vision... It even had early information/projections about New Tomorrowland and DCA. Neat.
Unfortunately, none of the Walt Disney World pages work well, or for at least I can tell. For WDW, you can't see any of the old attraction pages because up until a few years ago you had to do a search to meet your ride criteria, and unfortunately, the archive does not support that.
Also, Tokyo Disneyland works very well, but you won't find it under disney.com. Use tokyodisneyland.co.jp. Same goes for Euro Disney (Haven't tried it myself).
Use archive.org to look up old favorite tv shows or anything your interested in. I think it's a great resource.

Hope You All Enjoy it.

PS- If anyone can figure out how to get the ride pages work for WDW, please post. I know some computer genius can figure it out.

Or you could check out MousePlanet's origins too: http://web.archive.org/web/19991128040616/http://mouseplanet.com/

I've always liked the wayback machine.

Look at how www.worldtradecenter.com was first cybersquatted:
http://web.archive.org/web/19991008083958/http://worldtradecenter.com/
and
http://web.archive.org/web/20001018091320/www.domain-registration.org/

and then immediately after 9/11 it became a linkstation to relief agencies: http://web.archive.org/web/20010916223832/http://www.worldtradecenter.com/

until eventually nyc.gov bought it and now coordinates memorial ideas from here:
http://web.archive.org/web/20020124045754/http://www.worldtradecenter.com/
and
http://www.nyc.gov/html/911/html/mail911.html (the present day website)

Hey, this isn't the Lounge. Oops. I better get on-topic.

Um, here's a quote from that New Tomorrowland page on 1997's Disneyland.com: "We have met that challenge with a balanced design which takes advantage of classic Tomorrowland experiences, while introducing some new and innovative attractions and theming to the entire area. The result will be a themed land filled with excitement and kinetic energy."

Sigh...

Translation: "We will take away rides, put in a convention center ($$$), paint the place puke brown, and guests will still attend...."
