A key point in the news article, that the Former Radisson Inn on Harbor is going to be called the "Anaheim Maingate Hotel" until all the renovation work is completed and then will be called the "Red Lion Hotel Anaheim Maingate".

This is sure to cause some confusion, and there are many hotels/motels that use Anaheim and/or Maingate in their title, plus the fact people will still be looking for the Radisson, even though the signs will be removed.

Since we are now in the General discussion section, let me make a good travel point.

Many of the chains (Sheraton, Ramada, Super8, Best Western to name a few) have multiple locations in the area near Disneyland, and many of the non-chains use very similar words.

Know the name and the ADDRESS of the hotel/motel you booked.

I would use Google Maps, Mapquest or similar program to know the exact cross streets that you are going to.

And that is no matter your method of travel, car, bus, taxi, shuttle van, etc. Doing it yourself can get confusing with all the similar names, and many drivers are not that familar with the area (new) and don't get updates when places change names.
It only takes a couple of minutes and a few cents in ink and paper to print the map and carry it with you on your trip.

Great news! That Radisson had really become dumpy. It was a bit better as Holiday Inn before. I just hope they add a jacuzzi in this rehab - that's always been a sore spot for me to book that hotel and have no hot water to soak in after a day at the Parks!

Cracks me up about the possible lease extension to 2107 - like that hotel (or any other around it) will be standing in it's current form in 2107!
