I thought there was a DLR menu section somewhere on the boards, but I couldn't find any...

But I noticed with yesterday's visit that there is different pricing for the fried chicken dinners at the Plaza Inn and the French Market are actually quite different-- funny for the fact that they are basically the same meal (substitute fries for mashed potatos... or a side salad, etc).

Wonder how they happen upon their pricing strategies...

One is full service and the other is counter.

Yeah, both offer the same sort of service (they are buffets).

I ate at French Market last night and there is a difference. Not much granted, but a difference. At Fench Market, the cost was $10.99 and I got 3 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, and a small side salad. Last week I ate at Plaza Inn (I know, I know, but it's not my fault, I crave DL fried chicken when I'm pregnant!) and it was $12.99 and I got 3 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a buttermilk style biscuit. IMHO the portions at Plaza Inn are much more generous and I prefer the veggies there over the salad at FM, plus they do not have root beer at FM and they do at PI. I don't know if the green beans and warm biscuit vs the side salad makes up a $2 difference, but I think overall PI gives you more food for that $12.99.
