After my recent visit to the park on 4th of July weekend I realized that there was only one vulture telling you "Its time to be turning around" on Splash Mountain. Does anyone know what happened to the second one?

It has been that way since it reopened.

I am sure Disney will tell you the AA is out for refurbishment.

I secretly believe the other vulture ate him.

I am sure a new one will show up eventually. I hope he stays on guard.

No it hasn't.
Both vultures were intact when the ride reopened after the lengthy rehab. They are still working on the ride even though it's open. I've noticed this happening allot lately; even after a ride reopens, Disney continues to do repair work and make adjustments. The second vulture disappered shortly after the ride reopened. I don't know yet how long it'll be before he comes back.

Yes, you are right. I apologize.

I still stick to my secret theory

I asked the lady sitting in the chair at the base of the lift before you splash down to the briar patch and she said he was getting fixed.

"How come you aren't laughing?"

He probably reverted to his original speech and had to be retrained (again)... hee hee

"Billy was a bad guy, and carried a big gun"
"He was always after lawmen, and kept them on the run!"

said the Buzzards in "America Sings-Wild West" segment

Hey Terry Tiger...

It's so neat to read that someone else (YOU) remembers the very popular, and very missed, *Amercia Sings!* As much as I love Splash Mountain (infact, it's my favorite attraction at Disneyland), those characters in it will always be known as the *America Sings* characters! :p

1. There's a vulture missing from Splash Mountain._ Is he going to be gone for good?

2. A baby swan, Kismet, in the moat of Sleeping Beauty's Castle died from
choking on a piece of plastic, are there any plans to post signs about littering
or to clean the moat more often?

This was their response to me (within 24 hours)...

So, it's not much, but they did respond. Get a load of the "once again" part. I've written them sooo many times that they added that in. :)

Have they always had that person sitting in the dark like that before the ride?? I just saw it this last time I was here and I have to admit it scared the crap out of me :)

I believe that was added when Splash reopened with it's new seating configuration.

I forgot about it, but you're right about there only being one vulture. It was missing when I went in early June. But I remember thinking it odd that there was only one, yet you could still hear the other one's dialogue. Like he was invisible or hiding.
