I'm sure you're aware of the "festival seating" crush in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle for the fireworks show; people camping out on the street hours before the show. But have you ever thought of Option #2?
Over by It's A Small World is an alternate viewing experience, not as spectacular as the main event, but interesting to see. The lights are turned off in on It's A Small World's exterior, which is used as a movie screen and images/film coinciding with the different subjects during the show are projected on to it.
The lack of a crowd is a big plus. And you're closer to the main fireworks, which are launched from an area behind ToonTown. If you'd like to see a few pics, go to my homepage at: http://geocities.com/disneycastmagic
