Based on when the 2007 tickets expire, January 3rd, 2008.

And the prices are actually LESS than the 2007 increase, where it was $10 across the board for multi-day tickets, this time, they only wnet up $5 on the 4 and 5 day tickets.

I mostly noticed the 2 day hopper, which is what we usually get. It went up $10, thats a lot. How much was the 2 day park hopper in 2006?

A 2 day ParkHopper in 2006 was $116 for Adults, and $86 for kids 3 thru 9, so a $26 increase in 2 years for both Adults and Kids.

2005 it was $105 for adults, and $85 for kids, so a $37 increase for adults in 3 years, and $27 for kids.

The "2 days free" offer... Good January 7th thru April 24th, 2008.

The first visit must occur on or before April 24, 2008. All Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Tickets expire 13 days after first use or on May 7, 2008, whichever occurs first.

• Each day of use of a Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket constitutes one full day of use.

• Park Hopper® Bonus tickets include one Magic Morning admission for early entry into a designated theme park. A Magic Morning early entry admission allows access to a designated Disneyland® Resort theme park before the park opens to the general public. While not available daily, the feature will be available multiple times per week.

The year round offers, including the Advance Purchase tickets are good thru January 5th, 2009.

any word on an AP price increase to match?

And since AP's bought today are good through 2008, are the new prices in effect immediately? Or can I buy an AP today at '07 prices, and enjoy it through July '08?

The AP's on sale TODAY are the same price as they have been since last September 15th.

Now, when will they announce a price increase on AP's, then tend NOT to announce them in advance, but just change the prices overnight (that is what happened last September).

So you should plan on a $10 to $20 price increase on AP's, and an increase on the Single Day Ticket (maybe $68?) in September. It might not happen, but if you are budgeting, I would use the higher prices.

AP rules, if you buy a voucher and it has an expiration date on it at the lower price, they will honor it thru the date stated on the voucher. After that, they will give you credit for the price payed, and ask you to pay the difference in price (aka the extra $10 to $20).

As for renewing, you are only allow to renew 30 days prior to your expiration date. But when they have a "surprise" AP price change, anyone who got a renewal notice in the mail with the old price will get the lower price if they renew by Mail or show the notice at the park. Alas, the online option will charge the higher price.

This means the Jan-April special won't "help" you if you only want a 3 day parkhopper? :( Man, that sucks! We really wanted that discount (Hmmm...now to attack my budget...)

Sorry, but you are right, it is only good if you want 4 day or more ParkHopper (you save $15 by getting the 5 day for 3 PH and just using 4 days).

You will need the 2008 version. The 2007 version requires you enter the park for the first day by January 2nd, so you missed it by a day.

Thanks Darkbeer! This past January I purchased 5-day park hoppers for $159 each (adults play at kids prices promotion). A $10 increase for 5 days of DL in January '08 is still a great bargain!!

I was wondering if there is taxes on the tickets or are they included in the price already?

In California, there is no tax on Admission Tickets, so the price shown is the full price. Disneyland.com doesn't even charge shippping or handling fees if you use the "e-ticket" option.

WDW tickets have tax added to the price.

Thanks Darkbeer. For this special 2 days free do you have to buy them off the website? and also can you buy them anytime for 2008? Also how long does it take to get?
Any help with these questions would greatly appreciated.

The 2 days Free tickets are only valid for visits (first day) between January 7th thru April 24th, 2008, if you plan to go after that, the regular Advance Purchase ParkHopper is your main choice.

Currently, only Disneyland.com offers the deal, though most travel agents, including WDTC and AAA will offer them later this year, along with the Disney Stores and some Supermarkets and other locations that sell Gift Cards. (The Gift Card option might not be available until January)

As for how long it takes to get, if you go to a retail location, the Gift Card works right at the turnstiles, If you purchase at Disneyland.com and use the print at home "e-ticket" option, no wait, just take the printout straight to the turnstiles, where they will print your ticket in seconds.

If you use a Travel Agent, they will come in your package, so it depends on your Travel Agent.

That makes APs even more appealing. For $5 more than a 5 day parkhopper, you can get a deluxe AP!!

hmmm - so I suspect that APs will go up around $20 each or so by January. $379 for a Premium (awe, heck, they might take a chance and make it 399).
