Whatever happened to them? Are they still around? I would always see a cat or two by Indiana Jones, but haven't done so lately. Does anyone know what happened to them? Oh, and yes I mean REAL cats.

I read somewhere that guests kept feeding them bread and popcorn and they all died. At least one of them actually exploded.

(sorry couldn't help it) ;):~D

We saw several cats when we were there last May. They looked quite chubby and content.

I always run into them at the Hungry Bear. They always want my fries!

Awww, cute. I like those cats, and I find it funny that they're at the Mouse's house LOL.

LMAO!!!

DL has shelter for (and I believe feeds) them over at The Hungry Bear. :)

I recently saw a cat between the exit of Indiana Jones and the Jungle Cruise. It looked healthy to me.

When we were at California Adventure Park, we saw one, and you could tell she was kind of 'wild' - but not scared of us... [just that she wouldn't come over when we called her. She was rolling around in a grassy area.] A cast member came over and shooed her away, and I asked why, [I said she wasn't bothering us, LOL] and he said they don't really like the cats hanging around. He said they have no way of stopping them from entering the park.

We also saw one [and caught a photo too] of one sitting in the canoe when we were on the Mark Twain steamboat at Disneyland, and she looked just like our cat at home. I think it was close to the Hungry Bear restaurant? This was all back in November. Here's a photo of the cat sitting in the canoe. :)

Edited to add: Aha, I did get photos of the cat at California Adventure Park... Here she be. {Or he.} Notice the 'Deer Crossing' sign. ;)

You can only post one image per thread.

She's cute, reminds me of a cat I used to have. She only looks like she's maybe 10 months old or so.

The CATs went back to LOB (line of business) training on controlling the mice population next to the Matterhorn. The mice are growing at an alarming rate and the cat's are sleeping on the job! Standing in line for the matterhorn I saw a mouse run across the pass and ran into a Disney stroller to avoid guest walking. Funniest thing ever..

I saw a BUNCH of little mice while waiting in line for the Matterhorn (Tomorrowland side) the other day, too!

I also noticed a "hard-working" cat sleeping by the Hungry Bear while on the train ;)

*Ahem*
To put it correctly, they ate ducks full of bread and popcorn and, um, well ... things got a little crazy. There was a one-of-a-kind Fantasmic show that night

( ;) :p )

LMAO!

Which now has me singing...

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly
I don't know why
She swallowed the fly

Perhaps she'll die...

Unless they spay and/or neuter all of the cats at the park, there will likely always be cats there. Figure in the amount of feral cats in any urban area and you're pretty much guaranteed a steady supply.

I think they do spay and neuter as many as they can and then release them. (which would explain that mommy cat being so young). I would think they concentrate on the catching the males but I have no idea (I just know that's what Alley Cat Allies (http://www.alleycat.org/) does although they try to capture as many as they can)

I'm always scared I'm going to hit them when I'm driving Casey Jr. They dart across the track so quickly!

You sure Mickey Mouse doesn't "innocently" tie them down to the tracks? He, he...

LOL.. That's funny! I used to work Indy and saw them all the time out at the Temple and Marquee areas.. We actually had names for them (there was an orange one named... I think it was like Geore or Henry or something like that)... :)

I saw this thread before we went to DLR last week, and I saw a cat! It was hanging out in DCA next to a building in the shade.
