Just back from my DL trip. Had the pleasure of eating at Club 33 for my 5th, count it 5th time!!! What a treat. This time ate during lunch time on Sunday June 10th.

First off, when we picked up tickets, no dress code sheet was handed out. Asked about it and was told it's more for dinner. Though I still wore a nice pair of pants and button shirt.

Also, Because of the Media Event for the Nemo Subs I couldn't believe the amount of celebrities in the park that day. Pretty neat for those who like to look.

When we were seated at the club the waiter came over to say hello and also gave us a little black gift. He said that starting on Sunday the Club was celebrating its 40th Anniversary for the week. Each of us at the table got a Silver Club 33 Key Chain, with 40th Anniversary on it. I was so happy about this I stared at it the entire meal.

Something else that never happened at the club before, Mikey and Pluto stopped by and took time to take pictures at each and every table. They were so interactive with us. I loved that.

Lastly, when we were leaving I noticed David Arquett(sp) sitting at a small table by the bar. While my party was using the restrooms, I over heard him saying he never knew the Club existed and was happy they had alcohol. His wife Courtney Cox and others showed up a few minutes later to join him. They all seemed pretty surprised the Club existed and looked like I did when I first was there.

OK, what time was this?? I was there on Sunday for lunch too and didn't see anyone! We were looking at everyone too! We were from 12:00p until about 1:40P. Loved the keychain by the way! Wasn't that cool! Wasn't the food just wonderful and that chocolate fountain was to die for!

When we had dinner at Napa Rose last December, they were having dinner there. I guess C33 booze is more convenient. ;)

I am sad. I was in the parks on June 10. I didn't find my way in Club 33. I took a picture by the door though, and as I was doing so, a group of men exited. I felt kinda silly. oh well, I am happy that you all enjoyed it and got a cool thing!!!

I heard about all the celebrities but never really saw one myself. I heard mainly about courtney cox and lisa kudrow. who else was there?

We were there the weekend of the 8th and saw David, Courtney, and Laura Dern being escorted on to Nemo.

I'm going to Club 33 on June 25th - wish they were still giving out the key chains then. We'll be going to celebrate my mom's 71st birthday, and my brother's 46th birthday.

Oh well, I'm still excited. I'm going to Club 33 for the 2nd time. :p

Sunday lunch is a little different than other days. You get a glass of champagne with lunch, and the characters come out. Sunday lunch is actually a few dollars more expensive than lunch is the rest of the week. If you haven't seen the characters before you must have either gone for dinner, or if you went for lunch on a day other than Sunday. The only other time you will see characters, is if someone hires them for a special occasion.

Not big on the chocolate fountain thing. To many people sticking their fingers in them. But the desserts where good.

We got there at 2pm, must of just missed you.

Mickey and Pluto showed up around 3pm.

Usually when we eat a late lunch at 33 it's not very crowded, but sunday was very busy up there.

The glass of champagne we didn't recieve and the price was the not more than other times, exactly the price of a one day admission ticket. I think the character greeting is hit or miss, others I've talked to have seen them both at lunch and dinner, and also on various days of the week.

Other than Sunday Champagne Lunch, the only time characters appear in the Club is because a guest has paid ($$$$) to have them. But since they're there, they can't ignore the other guests once they've made their special appearance. That's policy at the Club, from what I've been told.

Ok this is a dumb question! Is there anyway to be a nobody and eat at club33. Do you have to be a member or can you make a resv to eat there? Sorry I'm sure this has been answered before and I believe I know the answer, I've just always wanted to see the place and not sure how! Thanks..

Only members can make reservations at the Club. If you're really trying to get in, you should take into consideration the fact that several large corporations (AT&T among them) have memberships there. A great many people get into the Club that way.

You might want to do a search for more information here on Mousepad. I suggest you use an advanced search, not the regular search function. Restrict your search to thread titles and just search on the word "club". You'll find a lot.

AT&T does have a membership, which they used to allow employees to use. The one time that I went it was because my dad worked fro AT&T. Sadly though, too many people took advantage of it by making reservations, going into the park, and not dining there, that they stopped that benefit.

You probably got wrong information then.

That is indeed the correct information. Characters are there at Sunday Brunch, on special occasions, and when a member pays to have them there.

I asked the member who gets me my reservations and he said that is not correct

I'm not just pulling this information out of a hat. I don't usually talk about this, because it's nobody's business and worse, it can look like I'm bragging (I'm not), but I want you to understand that I know what I'm talking about, so . . . I know more members than I can count on my hands. I've been to the Club more than five times this year alone. Tell your member friend to call the Club office -- S. or C. will tell him that he is mistaken. Characters make an appearance at the Club only during Sunday Champagne Lunch. They don't show up for regular meals unless a guest has paid for the characters to be there.

I have just heard about Club 33, and me and my boyfriend have decided to make it our life mission to eat in this restaurant. How long did you have to stay on the waiting list? I don't have the money for a membership now, but I hope that I can save up enough money to eventually eat there. I also heard of someone that sold tickets to it on ebay for charity, so i will keep checking to see if anyone else does that.

Tracilla,

Do some searching here and on other forums and I'm sorry to say you'll be in for a heap of disappointment. The wait list is so long (the Club claims 9-12 years, but doing the math reveals a much higher number) that they have closed the wait list and are no longer taking applications. They also changed the rules this year and members are no longer allowed to sell reservations for charity. If something turns up on eBay, that member will likely no longer be a member very quickly. Therefore, you will not see reservations available anywhere.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.
