Last week I responded to the post: First Memory of Disneyland/First trip? I wrote about having my picture taken with the 3 Little Pigs. It looks like it was taken at the entrance of the park. Now, I'm wondering what they had to do with Disneyland. My question is...do you remember them being there? (It was probably 1971, maybe 1972) Why were they there? I don't recall the 3 Little pigs being "Disney". They were in full sized adult standing up-right costumes.

Yes, I remember them. I also remember being slightly frightened of them!:D

Heya,

Funny you should mention that. Check the MousePlanet feature article this morning. It's all about the 3 Little Pigs being a huge hit for Disney.

We have all the Disney "Golden Books" from the 70's and my kids favorite is probably the Three Little Pigs. The hardworking pig in overalls is the cutest.

Yes, read the article, but in short, The Three Little Pigs was a very successful Silly Symphony. Their houses, along with the Big Bad Wolf's, are seen in Storybook Land.

I have a picture of me and my two little sisters with the three little pigs too! I think it was somewhere between 1974-1976. I can't figure out how old I am in it. Somewhere between 5-7 years old.
