It's late May....and so, I'm finally at the point where I'm ready to plan....
....log on to book my Reservations and....lo and behold----
Although still expensive, for the first time in 3 years, it doesn't look like Grand Californian increased their rates for 2007.
This is during a peak period (Dec 26-31)....and they want $420.00 per night/standard
With a 10% AAA discount that brings the rate down to $378.00.
(We won't discuss tax, but that's with every hotel in Anaheim)
Hey, that seems like less than I paid last year. I don't have my receipt, but does anybody remember what last year's GCH basic rates were?
I'm actually thrilled. I've read so many horror stories about GCH rates being up over $500.00......and was ready to be blown out of the water.
I know there are even lower rates, perhaps....but I always book directly-- hotel only.
And, again $378.00 per night, AAA, before taxes doesn't seem like any higher, and maybe a little less than what I paid last year.
A nice surprise....for me, given inflation and everything seeming to go up these days.
