I was thinking of going to DLR at 6:30am on 5/19. I'm an early riser.

Anyway, I thought it sounded like fun. Ya know take advantage of the early opening. Is this a huge mistake?

I'm guess there will be lots of people.. But I thought they might be getting spots to watch the red carpet. I wanna ride Space Mountain.

My plan was... Get to the park about 6:20am. Hit some rides. Grab some coffee... Be in my car by 9 am ... 9:30am the latest.

I am totally flying solo on this one. Not early risers.

Am I delusional?

I think it will possibly work for you.

The majority of the people that will be there are getting spots on the red carpet. So, as long as you know that, and are expecting it, and want to brave it, go for it!

You may hit a long line to get coffee, as a lot of the people on Main Street will be doing the same thing probably.

But, who knows? It may be smooth sailing, although extremely crowded.

Good luck, and have fun!

I recommend not pulling up to the Parking Structure until 6:30 AM, let the folks who want to sit on the red carpet stand in line and get thru the turnstiles. If you get to the turnstiles around 6:50 AM, most of the Red Carpet hardcore fans should be inside the park and past the turnstiles.

Then get past Main Street as quickly as you can and have a good time.

The Coffee House on Main Street might be OK, as it is on the "Press" side of the street...

I'd take the Monorail in. That way you avoid the whole Main Street area all together and will be dropped off right in front of Space.

Thanks!!!!Just a warning, if it is busy, they sometimes limit ridership to hotel guests in the am.
