Is it posted anywhere when the Grad nights are. I know there are several grad nights in the month of May, I'm not sure about June. We got there one trip and had to leave the park at 4 PM because they were doing a grad night. Were going this June and would really like to have a heads up. If it is a grad night, we will make other plans for that evening.

Thanks in advance.

I'm curious why you would have to leave at 4pm, as the normal close for a Grad Nite is 6pm for DCA and 8pm for DL. Perhaps it was for a Pirate premier.

I don't know why they kicked us out so early either. This was several years ago, (1986) maybe they've changed how they do stuff now.

I have another question that you might be able to answer...Where do they post the early entry days?

We got our tickets and they don't say anything about early entry, but the paperwork I downloaded at the time I purchased them said "Tickets include one admission of early entry into a designated theme park."

(Little tiny letters.) EE is Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Sat. It allows you into Fantasyland and parts of Tomorrowland. You enter one hour prior to park opening.

How would I find out when the "Grad Nights" are? I thought I read it somewhere that there was one on 6/7/07 ... now I can't remember or find where I saw it
And are the Grad Nights just that - the grads are only allowed in at night? I thought we booked early enough that California schools weren't out yet but I think I goofed :(

I think the Grad Night activities begin at Midnight, so it shouldn't impact you.

ETA: Grad Night Dates are 7th, 13th, 14th and 21st.

2007 GRAD NITE DATES

Thursday May 17
Thursday May 24
Thursday May 31
Thursday June 7
Wednesday June 13
Thursday June 14
Thursday June 21

Disneyland needs to close no later than 9 PM, and DCA has to close by 7 PM.

So the park will close earlier than normal on these days...

May, no issues as the park closes at 9 PM every weekday (Mon-Thur)

June 7th, 13th & 14th: DL closes 2 hours early (as compared to the other weekdays) and DCA closes 1 hour early.

June 21st, DL closes 3 hours early and DCA closes 2 hours early

A perfect example of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing. I saw the June dates but somehow missed the ones for May. With that said, I am still learning all the site has to offer. It really is amazing! And the name of the site is sublime </ shameless sucking up> :D

for answering your second question. i was on grad nite last year. we basically get the park from like 12(midnight) to 5 or 6 in the morning. and after a certain time, fantasyland gets closed off due to fireworks. its a great unique experience. i just wished i coulda bought those gradnite ears. :crying:

I heard that when a grad night is scheduled a lot of the "grads" show up and go during the day also and noticably add to the crowds for that day, is this true?

That would cost them 2 tickets. They must also be in the parking lot in a bus in the evening to be checked in. I do not know of any schools that are allowing a daytime visit. Most schools in this area go to Disneyland Grad Nite, then to Universal the next day.

They told us in no way was this an option when we went. We had a few APs in our group who wanted to go that day, but everyone had to be present and accounted for on the bus.
