I will apologize in advance for the vagueness of this email.

I would really like to get a CD of some of the miscellaneous music you hear at Disneyland. I wouldn't even know what most of it is called (or from). But. For example, the music that is playing over the speakers as you enter the park. Also, when you call to book a room at the DL Hotel, you hear a lot of that same music on while on hold.

It's mostly instrumental... and I am not looking for the songs from the movies (I have all those).

A few examples, that I can think of, are instrumental versions of the Mickey Mouse Club song (lots of brass), instrumental Small World, etc. Is there a CD out there of this kind of music?

Thanks.

I don't remember how to make the links the right way and I searched for it, but I guess this is just going to have to do. You can also go on Amazon and search for Disneyland CD.

If you are on Main Street, did you know about the CD/DVD shop, "20th Century Music Box" (if I remember the full title).

There is a section devoted to Disneyland sounds (e.g., music from Fanstasmic; music incidental to Main Street.)

They also sell music books (piano adaptations; fake books; etc.) of Disney films and Disneyland.

I bought my Billy Hill CD and my Rod Miller CD there.

Did you know that the instrumental music on Main Street comes (a lot of it, anyway) from two well-known musicals, "The Music Man" and "Oklahoma!"?

disneymusicloops.com is a fantastic resource for this type of thing. They have information for each land of the park, and sometimes even what was playing during what time period, etc. They've been very accurate on Epcot music loops that I'm familiar with. Check 'em out!

It actually didn't work for me today. I was hoping it was just a one time thing. Bummer - they had great info.

I agree that the "Happiest celebrations on earth" is a great CD. It has the music from Soarin, the music you hear walking around DCA, older songs, believe fireworks, music from a lot of rides etc.

I agree... I bought the CD several months ago, and just love it. Basically it takes you on a "musical" tour of the park, starting with Main Street. I listen to it whenever I get the desire to visit the park...which basically means I listen to it everyday!
