When I was at DLR this month, I asked the CM at the 50th show if they knew if Mr. Lincoln would be returning to the theater. He told me that they still hadn't had an announcement yet. Today in the Mousesavers newsletter I read this:

Disneyland: the First 50 Years (Disneyland) expected to close sometime this spring for changeover back to Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln.

YAY!!! I really love the 50th show, but I am very much looking forward to the return of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

Okay, wdwmartin, this is off the topic but where in the world did you get that pirate cookie boat?!!! My kids would love it!

Seeing as how I share a birthday with the Great Mr. Lincoln and I've never actually seen the show, I'm so glad it's coming back! I told DH I wouldn't see the 50 Years show until I was sure it was leaving!

I'm like the only one that isn't really happy with it. Like I been there once and that was enough for me, but I been to the 50th movie like more than a few cause its just so cool and will be sad when its gone. But oh well there's more to see

I believe it is a dessert at the Blue Bayou.

I like the 50th better than Mr. Lincoln too. Maybe if they added some more presidents. The whole audio thing was kinda cool, but a little creepy too. Also, the 50th show still has one last "hidden 50 Mickey".

I too will miss the 50th movie. I'll either have to find it on youtube, or sneak my camcorder in there! ;)

Unless of course... Does anybody know if it is or is going to be available on DVD?

If I know Disney,(and I do!!) I'm pretty sure we will see it on DVD at some point.

Hmm. Will it be the "headset" Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, or the one from the 1970s through the 1990s?

I vote for the earlier one.
I like them both, but sometimes I get the heebee geebees from the headset effects.

my guess - it will be added to that 50th dvd on Amazon that has been delayed until 2010... they probably want to add it AFTER it leaves the park... but that is just a guess, not any factual info.

Or maybe an entirely new show? I wasn't wild about the headset version. Seemed to cheapen a dramatic story with a simple audio effect. Yeah, that's great for the kiddies. But some things just shouldn't be messed with.

All right!!

I love the most recent version with the Private Cunningham at the photography studio scenario.. the haircut is great!

My wife will be tickled pink that this is returning.

Well I've never seen Mr Lincoln only the 50th exhibit and movie. We like the 50th movie because it seems like it's one of the few places in the park you can get some history short of taking a tour.
