Hi All. I am looking into planning my family's Disneyland trip in May. There will be 7 adults going and 1 child, age 2. I am looking into what it would cost to stay at either the DLH or PP. If possible, I would like to get one suite that we could all stay in and split the cost. So, we would need 4 beds. I have been searching around and can't find out how many beds come in all the different suites in these hotels. Ideally I would like a 2 bedroom suite with 2 beds in each room. Or any other combination as long as there are 4 beds. Does anyone know if this exists?

Hello,

I am a Disney travel specialist. Disney for some odd reason does not show room layouts. They do have a two bedroom suite that sleeps eight. It has two bedroom and a living room. They have different layouts: such as two queens in each room and one king/two queens. They also have three bedroom suites. Suites are really expensive and no longer come with concierge's service.

You are going to get a better price doing two adjoining room. You can generally even get two adjoining rooms with concierge for less than a suite.

Thanks Wendi! I would appreciate any advice you could provide me. I had no idea that suites were so much more expensive! Like I said, I would like to say at a Disney property if possible, but some members in our group are on a tighter budget than others, so I don't want to get anything too expensive. Basically there will be me, my husband, and daughter; my sister and her boyfriend; my parents; and my brother - so we would split the cost 4 ways. It will most likely be for 3 nights with 2 days at the parks. I have AAA and my parents have AARP also if that gives us any discounts. I am also open to other non-disney hotel suggestions. But I was thinking that if I could find a deal on a Disney hotel it would be worth it if we paid a little more. We are thinking of going in May (mother's day weekend). Everyone but us lives in So. Cal (where in Nor. Cal), but I think that the So. Cal promotions will be over by then.

Thanks!

Jennifer

Actually, they do show layouts.

Here are some for DLH http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dlm/details?id=DLHGuestRoomsAndSuitesHMFPage

Here are some for the GCH http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dlm/details?id=ArroyoGCHGuestRoomsAndSuitesHMFPage

And here are the PP http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dlm/details?id=DanaPointSuite303PPHGuestRoomsAndSuites HMFPage

For a vague idea, a 3 bedroom Regal suite at DLH for May 11-13 would be $845 a night. This would be 3 bedrooms, each with 2 queens.

Malcon10t,
Thanks for that info. It is great. It does not list or show many of the layouts for some suites. For example, it does not show The Pirate Suite. I wonder why it does not show all of the layouts?

Here is an article describing the pirate suite:

Anyway, thanks again.

WendiThey took the Penthouse Suite in the Sierra Tower and remodeled it to the Pirate Suite. It starts at $2700 a night and sleeps 4 (a king in one bedroom and 2 twins in the other.) If you look at the Penthouse Suite it give you a vague idea of the layout.

I called the DLH and they said the Pirate suite is an Imperial Suite.

I e-mailed you a ton of different qoutes for your trip. The best savings is for senior discount (60 and over). It saves you 35% on the resort hotels. You can do three nights for all 8 of you at DHL 2 rooms with 7 adult hoppers for $1886.00. The 2 bedroom suite is only 10% off with AAA or senior for 3 nights with 7 hoppers it is $2717. I e-mailed you a ton of other options and prices, but thought others might like to know. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much. I will be looking at the quotes. Unfortunately my folks will only be 55 and 54 when we go, so they won't qualify for the senior discount yet. But in few years, we will definitely be taking advantage of that!!!

I called the DLH and they said the Pirate suite is an Imperial Suite.Interesting. When I called Vacation Planning (the only way to book the Pirate Suite) they explained how it was a Presidential Suite that was remodeled similar to the Mickey Suite. But if it is an Imperial Suite, thats about 370 square feet less (1400 vs 1770). Explains the sleeping 4 issue better though. Personally, I like the layout of the Ambassador Suite (an Imperial Suite) better overall. Don't think the Pirate Suite is worth $2700 a night though, considering it sleeps 4.

I agree with you! $2700 a night needs to sleep a whole lot more than 4. My family of seven would not even be allowed to book it. It should also come with some major pirate dreams come trues for that price. Maybe an all you can eat dinner and dessert in the Blue Bayou and unlimited front of the line pass to Pirate of the Caribbean ride. Maybe a Pirates meet and greet with free pictures and an after hours showing of both pirates movies in an empty AMC theatre. That sounds more worth it to me. I guess I am just a Disney Dreamer!

Thanks, potterphreak, for standing up for me. I had no ill intentions. My goal was to allow people to know anyone can get 35% as a senior discount. You can just call the hotel reservations. I am brand new on the boards. I just love Disneyland too!.. I did receive 2 mesages from a moderater. I am afraid to post anything now. I did not know my occupation mattered. Thanks anyway for being kind !!! If I am allowed to anser the previous question. Disney resorts do not currently have a 4th night free promotion. They do give a $150 gift card for staying 4 nights at their resort hotels until April. Good neighbor hotels Staybridge and the Clarion currently have a 4th night free until April. Also, Sept- Dec 2007 there is a 4th night free at most Disney area Best Westerns and once again the Clarion. Disney resorts may get an offer later this year, but they do not have one now. Hope that helps.

Thanks Wendi. Just stay clear of anything that looks like you are soliciting business and you'll be fine. :)

Ok, so my family and I just booked a 2 br suite at the DLR for our stay and I'm confused as to which layout it actually is. Any help? Also, any feedback on anyone who has previously stayed in one of these suites, what are the possible views? Any insight is appreciated.

I will be staying in a 2BR suite at the Disneyland hotel this weekend, so I'll post back on Monday what it looked like and how it was set up. I have requested the Sierra tower since we are getting concierge as well, so I know the view will either be Downtown Disney or the Neverland Pool.
