Hello, I read the post about no longer having refillable mugs at GCH. That stinks. However, the Disney Travel Company mentioned that Disneyland has a refillable container in many different characters that can be refilled. Does anyone know where to buy these mugs? How much they are? What characters are offered? Lastly, how much is a refill?

Thanks,
Wendi

Only seven more days until our trip!:D

There weren't a few years ago. I bought an expensive mug, assuming that it was refillable. Every time in the past I bought an expensive coffee mug anywhere, it came with a refill. Why else would somebody buy a cheap plastic coffee mug for a small fortune? You can buy much nicer mugs at the gift stores. It wasn't refillable, and I was told that DL simply didn't offer refills on coffee.

I would love to also know if there is refills on coffee? While I don't drink coffee, I have read here often enough that you can purchase a cup of coffee at the Market House on Main St, keep your receipt and refill it all day.

AAA offers refillable mugs, but you are limited to 5 refills a day.

Do you have to be a AAA member to get the refillable cups? Also, do you know where you can refill them?
Thanks!

Thanks! You have to be a member and purchase a package thru them. Someone posted here recently where they could be refilled. http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=64205&highlight=refillable

If you get coffee anywhere in the Park you just do not throw away the empty cardboard cup. Take it back and they refill it for free. It is good all day long. We were just there last Sunday (My sister and I) and she does that all the time. She did it Sunday and the refilled it at least three times that day.

I don't know about the refillable character mugs. They used to do it, but I haven't had and sodas at the Park in a long time in so called collectable mugs because the mugs are just not like they used to be, so I just get the regular cups, which are not refillable.

Thanks for the replies. I am not asking about the AAA mugs. I am asking about the refillable sipper cups in Disneyland. They are available to everyone in the park. I am guessing they are around $11.99 each, but are refillable. The travel agent said they come in many characters, such as mickey and buzz. Anyone know more info?

Thanks,
Wendi

You can get coffee refills in the park. If you buy a cup of coffee at the little shop next to the fruit stand as long as you keep your receipt you can get free refills their all day. Now the last time we did this was 2005.

I think your travel agent is confused, I do know that other Theme Parks have things like that, such as Six Flags, SeaWorld and Universal (they do charge a refill price, but it is about $1 a refill).

As a regular park goer, Disney does not offer them. I would being buying one if they were available. There is nothing like that available at either Disneyland, or DCA. Sorry.

The refillable Mugs are dealing with SOFT Drinks, and as I said, I have never seen it in the parks, with the exception of the special AAA perk, which is limited to a month or two a year.

As for coffee, normally you get refills with your meal (you can go up with your cup and get more at the Buffet Service locations, and of course, table service will refill most drinks). Once you leave the location, are you not supposed to get any more refills, even if you show back hours later to the same place.

The Market House on Main Street has a SPECIAL arrangement, where you just keep your receipt, and they will give you refills in a new cup that day. You cannot show the receipt at other locations. These are the normal disposable coffee cups, and not refillable.

I'm confused, I thought you were a Disney Travel agent?

I am a travel agent and I specialize in Disney. My question was geared to a travel agent ( as a travel specialist, we call WDWT phone operators ( travel agents who have can help us with phone bookings and special questions). My question that day to her was if I could offer a refillable mug to my clients (like AAA). I would be willing to buy them for my customers. Her reply was we had other special programs AAA did not have, like 4th night free promotions and backpacks and preffered parade viewing for Disney Visa bookers. She then mentioned that Disneyland has refillable character mugs that can be purchased at the park.

I go to Disneyland quite often but have not been yet in 2007. I assumed it was something for 2007. I simply wanted to know for my family of seven and I try to keep my clients well informed on ways to save at Disneyland.
