Anyone know the purpose of the green belt-like straps with a whole bunch of "G"s printed on them that I saw near or next to the control panels of at least two rides (IASW and Storybook Land Canal Boats)? I saw them yesterday, and it's the first time I've seen them in all the years I've been to DLR...

They Have Green Straps with "G"'s on them, and Red Straps with "R"'s on them. They are designed to be used on vehicles, such as at Autopia to let the CM's know if the individual vehicle has passed the daily inspection and can be used on the attraction. The Letters match the color in case the CM is color blind. They are fairly new, and are used in addition to the paper tag that has the actual signatures of approval. Basically a secondary safety device. Green means yes, Red means NO!
