Does anyone know where i can look to find out when Disneyland or California Adventure is having special events in 2007?
We are triying to avoid a new ride opening or movie opening or special event that will lead to larger crowds than usual.
We are thinking about going late April, May or sometime early June.

"Avoid"? -- You are looking for events so that you don't book those dates?

Beware of conventions. -- You may want to check with the Anaheim convention & visitors bureau for the conventions which have been known to increase the Disneyland crowds.

So don't just limit your calendar search for DISNEY-related events.

This may be useful for you. It's updated periodically, so check it monthly.

Yes, we are trying too "avoid" the crowds, we have the tiny tinkerbells
(4 little girls) going with us his time and I am afraid the crowds will be overwhelming for them.
We have just recently decided to go and are very flexable with our dates so if you have any advise on when the best time to go is, please let us know!

Thank you

Late post script ...

Whatever dates are "BLOCK-OUT dates" for Annual Passholders are dates which Disney management thinks will be above normal.

Therefore, the non-block-out dates are dates where the crowds are more managable, surely, and may better represent what Disney considers "off-season."

You can view the block out dates on-line, or on any brochure describing Annual Passes.

Does anyone know when the new Pirates movie premeres in Disneyland???

well, latest on any of the rumors and rides...

January - Rockin Mountain and rockin Screamin
March 14 - 40th anniversary of Pirates of Carribean Ride
April (approx) Submarines with Nemo (has been talked about pushing out to June.
april 19th - Camp Pinehaha (not that big)
mid May - World Premiere - Pirates 3, additions to Ride and Changes to Tom Sawyer Island... (note RUMORS nothing posted by Disney)

which of course will make NOS completely gridlocked. where are the keelboats when you need them.

then, of course, anything they might come up with to promote Year of Million Dreams - if that's not going as well as planned.

Also note that DLR has in the past been very poor about scheduling park hours to accomodate modern spring break schedules - so although many across the country have time off - the parks will go back to non-peak hours after Easter - which means large crowds without much time to see everything you want in one day..
