Sun Nov. 5th, We started out of the SF Bay Area at 5am. Traffic was smooth the entire trip down. No major back-ups. We took Highway 5 and detoured to 170 / 101 Hollywood Blvd. for a stop at "Orginal Tommy's" Hambugers for lunch around 11:00am. Food was decent and cheap. Couldn't ask for more for the price. Back on the road and a stop at "Gotta Have It", "Phat Collectables" and 2 other collectible Toy shops at the intersection of Beach and Ball. These shops are like free Museums selling toys of our youth. A lot reasonable prices too. Didn't really see anything that we wanted to buy so we headed for our Hotel, The Park Vue Inn. Anaheim was unseasonably warm for Nov. Very nice, Not to hot. Temps in the upper 80's. No need for the sweaters and jackets we packed.

We got a great rate of $58 a night and checkin was quick and easy with friendly a staff. (They do tack on an additional $2 Resort Fee per night! which they fail to mention on their website or at check in ) We ended up with a room toward the back of the property on the first floor. Room was very clean, Microwave and mini fridge included. Very nice for the $. Only a 5 minute walk to the front gates of the Disneyland Resort. Our room was pretty quiet thru our stay with only a few noisy excited kids. We relaxed a bit and drove out to the "Character Warehouse Outlet" It's nice to see they fixed up the rundown aging little "Orangefair" strip mall and gave it a nice face lift. Looks a lot nicer now. We drove back down Harbor to "Los Sanchez" Mexican restaurant and their new location in Garden Grove. They moved from across the Target store to a location a bit futher down on Garden Grove Blvd in a brand new building. The prices are still low and portions still big. Service was great as usual. On our way back we stopped off at the Target for some milk and goodies. Again we relaxed a bit in our room and walked to Downtown Disney. We noticed they are checking bags at each end of the entry plaza to speed up park entry now. We checked out the "World Of Disney" store and just kind of soaked in the atmosphere. We headed back to our room to watch some TV before we headed for Disneyland in the morning.

Mon Nov. 6th, We woke up around 8:00 ate some Cereal and fruit we packed and headed to the Disneyland gates around 9:00. Not a lot of people had gathered yet. The gates opened at 9:30 as we expected and we used our tickets purchased at Safeway with no problems. We quickly browsed the Main St. shops and lined up for the 10:00 rope drop. First ride was Indy, Then Pirates, Mansion, Splash, Pooh.(First time) Normally we would continue the rides but since crowds were low, and the rides walk ons, we decided to eat at "Hungry Bear" By now it was only Noon! First gripe $22.16 for 2 burgers, fries and a 20 oz Cokes. Ouch. It would be interesting to see what Universal or Knots charges for a similar meal. Are they just as high? That's why we eat our main meals off property. Anyways the burgers seem to lack that great charbroiled flavor I remember. After lunch we road Thunder, than Fantasyland and, Pinnochio, Snow White, Peter pan, Toad. Off to Tomorrowland and Buzz (First time in Anaheim), Space Mountain, Autopia. Then we rode Indy one more time and headed to DCA. On our way out we stopped for our first Dole Whip. Pretty good. Just might be a decent replacement for the old Fantasia Ice Cream no longer sold.

We get into DCA around 3:45 and head to Soarin, And for the first time, Tower of Terror the Anaheim version and Monsters Inc. Rode Sreamin, Maliboomer and headed back to Disneyland. We looked in some of the shops and sat down at the Plaza Pavillion to watch the parade. We left the park walked back to the Park Vue and drove out to "Marri's Pizza" for dinner to go. Got a spaghetti dinner with 2 meatballs With rolls and salad (One dinner Feeds 2 people) plus an extra 2 meatballs on the side. $16 total. Drove back to our room ate dinner then drove out to Walmart on Euclid to look at Cheap souvenirs and toys. Drove back and prepared for day 2.

Tues Nov. 7th, Left our room at 9:30 and walked thru the front gates with no lines. Again shopped Main Street and headed for Indy after the rope drop. Rode Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Splash, Pooh. By now it's around noon. We had our fist (and last) Mint Julep. The mint Mouthwash/Toothpaste flavor was not for us. Well at least we tried it once. We headed for Fantasyland and we were in line on Alice when a Wheelchair bound man was loaded on by his wife/friend. Amazingly the big lady picked him up and placed him into the ride vehicle. Now it seems she didn't want to ride and refused to get in with him. There must be policy where a disabled guest must have an esort but she wouldn't go. A long discussion followed and the Ride operator and loader were getting frustrated. Finally the Ride Operator insisted she ride or he comes off. He returned to his Console and it was too late. The ride had to be shut down and evacuated. He slammed his fists down in frustration. We felt sorry for the poor cast members. We didn't want to wait out the reset so we headed to Toontown to do the Spin. We headed back to Indy for another ride and returned to Hugry Bear for more overpriced Burgers. Still not a lot of flavor. At least it fills you up for the moment. It's now 2:45 and we went back to ride Alice which was now working and do Buzz again. This time we emailed our pics home at the end of the ride. We overlooked it the first time.

It's now 4:30 and we head back to DCA. We ride Soarin, and TOT and look at the shops. Back to Disneyland. We did some shopping in Toontown and as we were coming out under the Train bridge/Entrance some Cast Members were giving out the "Year Of A Million Dreams" Mouse ears. They said, "Congratulations, You are the winner of a Million Dreams" Cool, We scored some free Mouse Ears. We then rode Indy for the last time and did Thunder. We closed out the park by watching "The First 50 Magical Years" movie hosted by Steve Martin on Main Street.

Wed Nov. 8th, Checked out of the Park Vue. Very nice remodel to the Hotel. Stay was quiet and we always managed to find parking near our room. They were still remodeling the Deck where breakfast was normally served. Well for our last adventure we headed to the Mattel Toy Store Outlet on Harbor. GF found some $20 Kelly doll 5 packs marked down to $5!! Not bad. Bye Anaheim and head back home.

Thanks for sharing your trip report, Dehnehsu. Did you love the Dole Whip? They are my favorite treat now at DL. It sounded like a great trip!
