A couple of pictures from Disneyland's 25th Anniversary, and for comparison, some from the 50th. There are only a few up there now, but will be working to take/post some more over the next couple of weeks.

I hope you enjoy them :)

I love this stuff!

I have one photo of me with Mickey Mouse, I was age 4 and 7 months. I have a photo of my son with Mickey Mouse....he was age 4 and 7 months. It is so cool to see the difference between Mickey in 1976 and Mickey in 2003.

Speaking of old pictures, here's one of me before the Partners statue was in place. Nobody knows who Launchpad is these days...

Such as?

Longer sideburns? Sorta porn-looking mustache (a'la 'Boogie Nights') on The Mick? Members Only jacket? White silk scarf (just like Travolta's)? Angels Flight tight rayon pants? Hai Karate cologne? Three-stripe Addidas sneakers? White tube socks pulled up to the knee? Fluffier hair from hair dryer usage?

I bet a familiar sight was of Mick & Min would strolling down Main Street with one of their four-fingered hands jammed in the back pocket of their beloved's faded Levis...

No, actually Mickey was quite a bit shorter. The head on the costume was really different. Hard to explain, but he looks nothing at all like the Mickey there now.

I have been working on transfering some old Disneyland shows that I have on tape to DVD and it is interesting to see how the park, characters, and how guests dress has changed over the years.

I agree. It's something I never notice during my visits (well, other than the major things like new rides, ride removals, etc.), but when I look back at old photos it's really obvious.
