Our group has 4 adults and 5 kids, aged 5-8. We are meeting up at the DLH.
Just wondering if experienced Treat goers would recommend just grabbing something at Croc's or is there another place. Maybe DTD? But not Rainforest Cafe.

Thanks!

We just went last night, and ended up eating in DCA. (Paradise Pier had the Mexican place open, and Hollywood Backlot had that hot dog place open.. there were others open as well, but we ate at the Mexican place.)

Don't know if you would want to stop and eat while you are in the park, but we found we had plenty of time to hit almost everything (except rides) that they had offered, and then some and eat as well.

You have a larger group than we did, so perhaps that wouldn't work, but that is what we did, and it worked out fine.

We ate at Whitewater Snacks.

Our friends stopped and ate during the event. The main reason we didn't was that we figured it would be too late for the boys to eat - but we still had plenty of time to do everything we wanted to, even with a food break.

The only food we'd had up until stopping during the event (which worked out well, considering that at the end of the night we'd hit every treat station and everything else we wanted to do) was coffee for breakfast and half a sandwich each on the plane. So getting some real food to counteract all the candy was imperative. Eating messy pizza in an elaborate pirate costume may not have been the best choice, though.

We actually packed sandwiches, which we ate in the car while stuck in traffic on the 91 freeway. :D

It's interesting to see how different the experience can be for everyone! We went on 10/20, and were a group of six including three little ones. We ate at DCA, and based upon our experience, I recommend eating before you go.

We went to Taste Pilots Grill. Although there was nobody in line in front of us, getting the food took an unusually long time, and it tasted like it had been sitting for a while or reheated. (I know that's probably not the case; that's just how it tasted. And they've done away with the happy face potatoes and the little chicken ball thingies for kids, doggone it!)

We hit Mickey at the wrong time, and waited 40-45 minutes in line to get our pictures taken with him.

Those two things combined sucked up a large chunk of our four hours, and I'd say we probably missed almost half the park/treat stations. Next year, we'll definitely skip dinner in the park, arrive early and go straight to Mickey. (Or skip him, but we had a three year old who had been carrying around a picture she drew for Mickey for hours and was going to explode if she didn't get to give it to him...)

I'd either eat at home, go through a drive-through on the way, or go to Wetzel's Pretzels in Downtown Disney or Whitewater Snacks in the Grand Californian. Those are relatively fast.
