Just wondering which tour would be more fun, the "Welcome to DL Tour" or the "Holiday Time at DL Tour"? any info/thoughts would be much appreciated.:fez:

Welcome is a very tour of the whole resort....
Holiday is a DL-centric tour
I've never done Welcome, but I know Holiday is a ton of fun! :)

I would prefer Holiday. Welcome is aimmed more to a newbie. Holiday is a blast.

i've always been discouraged from the welcome to DL tour, for whatever reason. i always figured the price is right, the FPs are an added bonus, and all. but i wouldn't dedicate any touring time to it, ironically enough.

I've never done the welcome tour - seems like it would be wasted on me since i know the park quite well. but the holiday tour is a blast - i did it last year and it was a lot of fun. on my next trip I am going to try the Walk in Walts footsteps tour. If you do a search here, you'll find a lot of discussion abou the different tours.

Thanks all very much for the insite, think I'll try the Holiday Tour this time. I, too, was thinking I'd get a couple of free fastpasses but maybe not worth it. BTW anyone ever do the Welcome tour? just wondering how it is ...

which one of these tours would be good for children? My boys are 6, 5, and 5. My daughter is probably too young at age 2, but do I need to be with the boys as they go on the tour, so will i have to pay for myself also?
i've taken the kids to disneyland 5 times before, but have never taken a tour. i want to do something different this time.

that's a tough one. I've only done the holiday tour, they give a history
of celebrating the holidays at DL, you go on Haunted Mansion & Small World
and end up with great seats for the parade plus treats. unless the kids have alot of patience, they might get bored after a while. I would say that DL
would require you to be present with your children and you would have to pay
as well.

They do a sort of scavenger hunt thru the park with characters. For your age group, I'd choose this one.
