Hello all, I'm new here, and well I've got a simple question that has been bugging me for years. Does anyone have pictures of backstage disneyland? I've always been curious what it looks like back there. I'm sure some Cast Members have taken pictures of where they work...but I've searched and searched, and searched some more and couldn't come up with anything. Oh ya and I'm going Disneyland today :fez:.

Thanks,
-Mike

Disney is pretty restrictive about pictures being taken backstage. The few I've seen have been when a ride had to be evacuated for various reasons. If you take a backstage tour at WDW (and I'd assume DL, if they offer any) they are VERY strict about not taking pictures back stage.

I have been backstage many times, the worst areas are by Indy and Pirates, for some reason it stinks very bad back there.

We have some pictures somewhere of backstage in HISTA.
My daughter lost her camera a few years ago. (It was a lillte kids one) We went to Lost and Found thinking we wouldn't get it back. Well, they did have it! We saw that the rest of the pictures were taken on it, and figured who ever found the camera took the rest of the pictures. Got them developed.
The first one was of a kid that looked like he didn't know it was a real camera and took the picture. All the rest of the pictures were of the CM's backstage of HISTA. Just taking pictures of each other.
My husband ended up going to City Hall in Disneyland and showing them the pictures they took. We weren't mad, but were kinda surprised that the CM's would use up the film. It is evidence of who was taking the pictures!

It's fun to see back there, but, somehow seeing that doesn't tie it in to DL for me. Maybe it's denial! ;)

If your in near Main Street after Remember Dreams come true, they let the guests go backstage behind the Main Street buildings to clear traffic. It's pretty interesting...just alot of pipes, Coca-Cola machines, and sheet-medal. lol.

By the firehouse, there is a mirror with the saying "ATTENTION all castmembers...Check your smile, you are now going ONSTAGE" or something similar to that.;)

Well thanks for the info...my girlfriend told me yesterday that she was taken on a backstage tour before behind mainstreet behind the tiki room and stuff. She said it was pretty basic and plain back there, nothing special. Ohh well...oh and we had a blast yesterday, I went to California Adventure for the first time. I can say that I'll never go on the Ferris wheel again with the sliding thing, I wanted to puke :|.

Another thing we were excited about was at the little stage that comes out of the ground in Tomorrow Land, they had a Ska band (Suburban Legends) playing there. Me and my girlfriend love Ska and thought it was awesome that they were playing at Disneyland.

Thanks for all the info...

IF WE WANTED YOU TO SEE BACKSTAGE WE WOULD NOT HAVE DOORS AND WALLS. It's like going to a play your not suppose to see what's going on behind the curtain. Why ruin the show for yourself.

When I was in High School Disneyland took my class backstage where we saw alot of stuff. For most people who would see the backstage would probably loose the magic while on the other hand it just enhacned it for me.
