why is that 25 cents such a mental 'deal breaker' for me???????? I mean it's not like the 25 cents I was paying less last visit will make or break the entire trip, it just feels so darn greedy for some reason...

Not $3! I better plan for more food money.

My guess is it is an efficency issue for the ODV CMs --- someone hands you $3 = no change; $2.75 = .25; makes the line move faster.
too bad they couldn't make it $2 huh?

Even if it was $2.99 it would seem cheaper.
Good thing I don't like churros.

So what makes churros so expensive? Cinnamon and sugar are cheap. I'll bet it's the price of the paper they wrap it in. If I bring my own paper can I pay less? :p

Have you guys seen the Simpsons where they go to Epcot?? It is so funny at the end Homer jumps the wall to go into the Magic Kingdom (cause Epcot is so boring) and once he gets over there he says. "One Churro please... WHAT $15....OK." LOL!!! :D

I have actually put the price of a Churro into my sons baby book. :) But he was born in June so it says $2.75.

I'll go with the $3.00 Disneyland churros...at least I know their prepared a bit better than our local Costco's. There for $1.50 you get "extra protein" with your churro... aka Roaches.... (<--- cause there were no "green/sick" smilies. ) Has happened each and every time I get them from ours...

well i can tell you that sales of the choclate and caramel sauces will go down,
what with losing the whole "use your change for a topping you dont really want" thing.

There is a place near work that sells churros for 93 cents ($1 including tax), and they are the same churro as you get at Disneyland and Costco....

Still prefer the Fresh out of the Hot Oil Churros, the Orange County Swap Meet at the fairgrounds sell them.

Haven't bought a Churro in Disneyland for years, if I am looking for a snack, it is Popcorn, or Wetzel's Pretzels in DtD.....

All the Costco's I go to have an "A" health rating.

I doubt that it is anything more than a rare occurrence.

Heck, I think you would have a better chance getting some "extra protein" at Disneyland, since the stands are outdoors, instead of inside a kitchen (like Costco).

Did you know that at WDW, Churros are NOT one of the top 10 snacks  . I also couldn't find them on any of the menus (granted I didn't look at ALL of them), so I asked on the WDW board. They said they just aren't that popular. We are going on our first WDW trip in Feb. and I wanted to make sure to get some favs, Churros and a Mint Julep. We can get the churro, but don't know if we want to because they said they weren't as good there, and I can't get my Mint Julep. A total shame :( .

well, i did the math - and a family of four on a five day trip - eating one churro per person per day, and now if your trip normally costs you $3500, it will now cost $3505.

Annie, your math is  ?

How can 20 churros only cost $5? I think it's $50, right? :D

I personally can't imagine blowing $50 on sugar, cinnamon and grease. :p
