With the Half Marathon starting early Sunday 9/17, does anyone have any idea how it might affect traffic? I am trying to book a flight and am trying to decide if I should fly home on Saturday night or first thing Sunday morning. The route looks like it goes past the front of the Anaheim Plaza Hotel (where I am staying) before taking the left down Disney Way. Will this affect the Disneyland Shuttle Express that runs from the Resort Area Hotels to SNA?

I would contact Disneyland Express directly...

www.airportbus.com (http://www.airportbus.com)

But I don't think it will be too much of a problem, the event is early, so there isn't that much vehicle traffic, and the route is designed to not cut off areas (though there will be detours).

Also, the folks at the Anaheim Plaza might have some info, so there is another place to contact....

The Disneyland Half Marathon website has this information on it:

Harbor Blvd - North and southbound lanes from Katella Ave to Disney Way at 5:00 AM
Ball Road - Eastbound lanes between Disneyland Drive and State College at 6:00 AM

With everyone needing to run a 16-minute mile pace, the marathon should "run" between the start time of 6am until 10am when the runners should be in (or picked up). There's also an award ceremony for the top finishers somewhere around Disneyland, maybe Downtown Disney; it's in the guide I received but I can't remember where it said.
