We like the Main St train station steps or the hub area.

This article (http://www.mouseplanet.com/articles.php?art=mm050511as) details the show and provides viewpoints about various viewing locations. I'm not sure if they added the projections onto Small World after the article was written, or not, though.

For watching the fireworks, I like this spot http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=392201

My friends and I stand near the Photo Supply store at the North end of Main St., just before the walkway by the trashcan on the right. You can't see many of the projections (unless you're freakishly tall...I speak from experience), but the hub effects are easily seen and felt (on a good night, you get a blast of heat from the Indy segment). Also a good spot for Tink. I would least recommend the Rivers of America area where many Fantasmic viewers stay to watch. Half the magic of these fireworks are the things around the castle, which you can't really see. The plus for Small World is you're really close and can feel each "boom." DadandFamily's spot is a great place to watch if you're itching to ride Peter Pan. If you stand by the rope, you can be first in line when it drops.
