Hi Again,

We'll be at DL tomorrow with a 13 year old boy who has been to WDW, but never DL. We're doing Ridemax. Any little things you think he'd enjoy doing /seeing along the way?

Thanks!

Will it be just one day, and just Disneyland? Or will you be going to California Adventure as well?

I guess it depends... is he a thrill seeker??? If so, he will love Indiana Jones, Space Mountain (different from WDW's - theirs is the same track as our Matterhorn), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain. Star Tours will be the same, but I think the queues may be different, I didn't ride ST at WDW so I don't know. The Tiki Room is MUCH better in DL... MUCH! The WDW version is horrifying!!! Pirates is double the length of the WDW version, not sure of differences in The Haunted Mansion, but it's always been a favorite for me at any age.

I will be there tomorrow with my 12-year-old and his favorites are what you would expect, the big thrills: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Tower of Terror, California Screaming... Although his very favorite is Pirates. He seems to not have any insterest in the simpler pleasures.

Space Mountain (different from WDW's - theirs is the same track as our Matterhorn).

This information is incorrect.

Have fun!

Don't miss Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams, Remember... Dreams Come True and Fantasmic!!! :D

hmmm... got the information from another topic on MP. I wouldn't have noticed myself as I don't memorize rollercoaster tracks as some people obviously do.

These are the specific references... sorry if I was incorrect, Another Dimension.

I will stand by my point that it is a different ride from the one in WDW, so he shouldn't skip it if he thinks it is the same ride and he's into thrills.

The Space Mountain track is different at DL. In addition, there is a music soundtrack to go along with the ride at DL. Definitely a must-see!
