I googled it.
Look what I found.
MousePlanet already has a thread in its archive about it.
HAWAIIAN WAR CHANT.
See thread 03-23-2004, posted by Cadaverous Pallor, titled "Hawaiian War Chant translation."
It is archived under:

Just downloaded few Hawaiian War Chants and it seems to be the same song. Great!
I like the Disney's rendition better though. Is it original or from a recording?

This was in that old thread:
I'm not sure about this one. I know that there is no "t" in the Hawaiian language but it is used in certain modern Hawaiian songs.
I know the following (correct me if I'm wrong here):
"Auwe" means "Oh" or "Ouch".
"Pili" means to "cling" or "hold on to something".
"Wai" is "water" or "liquid".
"Lua" is a "hole" or "a bathroom".
So the song is:
Oh, "Oh, I will hold my water, as there is no bathroom". I always wondered.....

Hawaiian War Chant was a hit song in the 40's and has been covered by many artists on many records since.

Righto.
My favorite was a hip and jazzy version that Ella Fitzgerald did using the popular English lyrics linked to in geoffa's Post #5 above. Just love it! It's available from iTunes.

I thought that the Hawaiian War Chant was the one with the drums. That one seems too slow for a war chant. What is the one with the drums called then?

But that's just what it is [the "glee-club" version]...a slower more melodic version of The Hawaiian War Chant. Listen carefully to both and you'll hear it's the same song. :)

It's the Hawaian War Chant. While in hawaii, oahu to be exact they sang that song in a faster speed and called it the Hawaian War Chant.
