The TWA Rocket to the Moon, and (not really a ride, but) The Monsanto House of the Future!

OK, I'm an old Baby Boomer, but Disneyland to me always meant Walt's optimistic view of the future. Think the song "IGY" by Donald Fagen and you will know what I mean.

Cheers,

It is a split between The Matterhorn and Alice in Wonderland. I'm not sure if it is a geographic thing (the whole "I saw it first" thing with the Matterhorn) or adding up the years of waiting in line between the two . Or possibly from the summer I worked the tea party (one of my fave to work), both attractions were in my line of sight.

It has to be Dumbo. Not so much because I enjoy the ride but because one of my all time fav pics of my DD is her on that ride during our first visit.

Because I have never been there and I have been to WDW many times, it is definitely Matterhorn.

Pirates of the Caribbean, hands down. Disneyland just isn't the same without it.:crying:

I think I'm not alone when I say, "Welcome back, old friend!!!" :D

For me it is a mental image of looking down Main Street with the castle in the background.

Easy for me: Splash Mountain. It is the only ride at Disneyland that I will schedule a trip around--if it's on the refurb schedule, no DL trip.

For me, it's Main Street -- starting about the point where you go under the bridge and leave today and enter the world of...well, you know the rest of that. Even the ground feels "different" when you're walking on Main Street. (And no, I'm not referring to what the horses sometimes leave behind...LOL)

Many, many years ago I went to Disneyland on a day that they gave everybody mini-posters from Alice in Wonderland. All I remember of the poster is that it said, "Tis Brillig!" or something like that on it. Every time I walk under the bridge and see the posters hanging there, I remember that little Alice poster.

I play ToonTown online, and whenever my toon runs around the streets, I start longing to be on Main Street...

Maynard....
For me no trip to Disneyland is set before talking to Maynard and arranging
to get together in/out of the park.

I picture the Matterhorn. It's not neccessarily my favorite, I just picture it. But really the first image rather than attraction that pops into my mind is Main Street. I always imagine coming through the tunnels and seeing Main Street.

For me it's Indy. Not because it's my fave, but because it was my first. :)
