Our first wedding anniversary is coming up and since we were married at DL we thought it would only be appropriat to spend our first anniversary there. But I was wondering which Disneyland Resort Restuarant do you guys reccomend for a romantic dinner. It could be anywhere from Downtown Disney, The Hotels, The Parks etc...

Thanks in advance:)

I would offer you the Napa Rose as my first choice, and the Vineyard Room inside California Adventure as my second choice. Both are romantic (the Napa Rose particularly so), and perfect for an anniversary, in my opinion.

Where can I see a menu of Napa Rose and other Disney dining rooms like the Granville Steakhouse?

Try the following for the Napa Rose:

are any of these suitable for young children? our anniversary is also while we're in DL but since we are just going as a family we'll have to take the kids along. If they're adult ones, what would be good for anniversary with kids tagging along?

I havne't eaten at either Napa Rose or the Vineyard room, so I can't answer your first question.

Although Blue Bayou doesn't have the best food, the atmosphere can't be beat. You can sit and watch the boats go by and the kids get Pirate hats so they will be happy! The Princess dinner is also fun (and its such a great view of Paradise Pier).

I also vote Napa Rose. And yes, the kids can tag along...it is afterall at a Disney resort. The food is amazing, as is all of the staff and they have an awesome wine list.

Go and subscribe to the DL podcast and see if you can find the one with Michael Jordan interview (April podcast).

Here is a great website that has all the menus in the parks, hotels and restaurants near the area...

As for romantic, Granville's and Hook's Pointe are good choice at the Disneyland Hotel.

If your kids are younger (say under 8 or so), I'd say pick the Vineyard Room rather than Napa Rose. Napa Rose is a bit more formal and is an enclosed dining room. The Vineyard Room is more of a covered patio and offers the good food in a slightly less formal atmosphere. The menu has changed now so that there's a prix fixe and a regular menu, but this review that I posted from our dinner late last December might be helpful to you (http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlrrests/vineyardroom123005.html). If your kids are a little older or very sedate younger kids, then Napa Rose would still be ok.

I went to napa rose for my one year anniversary a month ago. I saw quite a few families there. the staff was great and they even wrote in chocolate Happy Anniversary on our dessert. I did feel a bit akward though being the only two people of our age group there. if they have the strwberry trio or something like that oh goodness strawberry heaven on a plate just great, a very happy me at the end of the night, enjoyed myself so much I forgot my phone on the table and they called my hotel room for me to get it back. I know if you are staying at the DGC they have in room babysitting if you did want a just the two of you time and maybe take the kids to a character meal to celebrate, but I would not worry about it.

Congradulations, and have a great trip to DL.
