New big figs have shown up at the resort.

Here is the awesome new Sorcerer Mickey big fig:
http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR/sorcbf.jpg. His red robe is flocked (smooth fuzzy, like the Evil Queen's robe), and his fingertips are sparkly, and there are LED lights on the mountain that sparkle as well. It's an absolutely gorgeous piece. It arrived at the resort on Friday, and as you can tell from the picture, it's already out of stock. Price is $150. I
like Sorcerer Mickey but don't always collect his stuff, but I definitely want this one. The question is how many other people I'm going to be buying this piece for...

Here's video of the piece where you can see the lights twinkling, but it doesn't do justice to what it looks like in person: http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR/sorcbf.wmv.

The Pirate Mickey big fig has arrived as well:
http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR/piratemickbf.jpg. He is really cute, and the small lantern behind his left foot lights up. Price is $150. Gotta find room for him as well.

The Jedi Mickey big fig that was released at WDW has arrived at DL: http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR/jedimickbf.jpg. His expression is better in person than in pictures, but the lightsabre blade is still ridiculously short. While this bit of merchandise would seem tailor-made for someone like me, I'm passing. He's $150 as well.

And for those who have been collecting the Larry Nicolai pieces
(Adventureland and Main Street had been previously released), two more have been released in the collection - Fantasyland and Frontierland:
http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR/bronzes.jpg. Odd that the Fantasyland piece is actually created by someone else (Donna Miller?) but is part of the same collection. Nicolai is creating the last piece, Tomorrowland, himself, and speculation is that it will involve Donald and the subs, since the other 4 of the Fab 5 have already been represented on water attractions in the other non-Main-Street lands.

I want the new Sorcerer Mickey, but I don't do flocked so I'm going to pass. Dusting things is enough of a drag, but having to vacuum them? Ugh.

I would love to get the jedi Mickey for my husband for fathers day, but dang, $150 is a bit more then I would normally spend on a FD gift!

I'm hoping the Sorcerer one is a lot more impressive in person than in pictures because to me it's the same as the original one with a slightly different pose and a new base underneath.

Umm, well, yeah, different pose, different base, same Sorcerer. It's the Sorcerer - not sure what else you want him to do as being a big fig. The regular big fig was cute but not something I ever considered getting myself.

The Jedi Mickey is all over ebay. Does anybody know if the LE600 is the same thing being sold at DL as an open edition or are they part of the original 600?
